Peter took it upon himself to stop the crazy man with wings' next sell at a ferry. He ended up getting into some trouble with Tony for causing the ferry to split in half and almost dying by the hands of the winged man. Tony had taken away Peter's suit, and threatened Val to take hers away if she acted out wrongly in any way.
The next week at school was horribly boring. The only thing Valdís seemed to look forward to was homecoming, in which she still had no date to. Valdís stood in the hallway, staring blankly at the homecoming posters when a soft hand was placed on her shoulder. "Hey." A recognizable voice from behind her spoke.
"Hey, Parker." Val greeted.
Peter was silent momentarily. "Look, I'm sorry I didn't call for you at the ferry..." Peter trailed off.
Val waved him off. "It's fine. At least I didn't get my suit taken away," Val paused rethinking her choice of words, "...too soon?" She asked.
Peter chuckled. "What are you doing for homecoming?" He asked.
Valdís shrugged. She assumed Peter was just there to ask for advice to ask Liz out, but in reality, he was there to ask her out. "You should ask Liz. She likes you, you probably like her..." Val suggested.
At that moment, Peter thought that Val was expressing her disinterest for him. Boys and girls could be quite confusing, especially in high school when they're all very awkward about relationships. "I guess I'll just ask her then..." Peter spoke disappointedly.
Recently he seemed to had fallen deeply in love with Valdís. She was such a strong, independent woman that shared many common things with him. She understood him and he felt like he didn't need to hide anything from her. The two were so similarly special, that they felt normal around each other. He thought that she was so, astonishing and beautiful. Before Peter met Val, he thought she was far too out of his league to even try and be attracted to her. Then again, everyone thought so. But now, all he saw was how perfect she was... and how perfect they were for each other.
"I—I gotta get to class, then, um..." Peter tripped over his words in his usual manner.

Val stood at the entrance of the high school, leaning against the wall and contemplating whether to really enter that party alone. Someone ended up walking up next to her. "This party sucks." The class weirdo, Michelle, stated.
Valdís nodded. "Oh look, little miss princess showed up." Michelle noted as she nodded over to a sleek black car pulling up right then and there.
She saw Liz walk out of the car, and the car just sat there. Peter must've still been sitting inside. He did manage to score his date with Liz, according to local gossipers. Val squeezed her eyes to look past the tinted windows of the car in the night. She managed to see Peter sitting in the back with a fearful look spread across his face, then she saw the driver... it was the face of the winged man.
The man seemed to be talking to Peter about something and soon enough, Peter exited the car. Valdís' heart began to race sporadically. Peter spotted Val and looked at her with a scared expression. "We've got to go." He spoke quietly.

The couple of infamous vigilantes changed hurriedly into their attire, Peter having to downgrade to his original costume, and sped out of the school. As soon as the two stepped foot outside of the school, they were blasted with one of the Chitauri powered weapons by one of the winged man's worker's.
"He gave you two a choice, you chose wrong." The affiliate spoke.
Valdís sneered. "He didn't give me shit." She spat.
"What's with the crappy costume?" The man asked Peter, ignoring Valdís' rude comment, and recharged his weapon.
Peter and Val made a break for it, but the man hit the bus with his weapon, and send the bus spinning in wild circles, making it hit the two. "I wasn't sure about this thing at first, but... damn!" The man noted, then walked up to Peter and slammed him with the weapon, sending him flying into another nearby parked bus.
Valdís charged at the man and jumped on his back. She used her trained martial arts skills to knock the weapon out of his hand and flip him over. She scrambled up to grab the weapon, but the man managed to snatch it up first. He lifted the weapon to slam it down on her, but then the weapon seemed to be stuck in midair.
Valdís looked behind the man to see the cause of the problem, and saw Ned standing there with one of Peter's web shooters, holding the weapon in place with a web. "Nice shot!" Peter exclaimed as he hobbled out of the bus.
Ned tossed the shooter to Peter and Peter then used it to glue the the man to a bus. Peter rushed over to group up with Val and Ned. "The guy with the wings is Liz's dad!" He exclaimed.
"What?" Ned and Val asked simultaneously.
"I know, we gotta tell Mr. Stark. Ned, call Happy Hogan. He's Mr. Stark's head of security. And get a computer and track my phone for me." Peter instructed.
Ned stood in shock. "Hurry, we gotta catch him before he leaves town!" Peter shouted as he grabbed up Val and began swinging away with his webs.
