5 | SPIDER-BOYValdís practically drooled all over her suit when she laid eyes on it. It looked exactly like her mother's old suit, except better. The suede, firey red pleather-esque material fit snugly around her body. The box the suit arrived in had a couple of other items in it, but she reached straight for the letter that was carefully placed on top of the rest.
Valdís,
I heard you were wanting a suit, so here it is. My father also made your mother a suit, so I decided to recreate it, but I made it red... you know, because fire I guess. The suit has many different special features you'll slowly discover. I suggest finding that out by going out into the street and stopping a couple bad guys, but don't tell your dad. He might kill me... literally.
Stay safe and stay hidden, kid. Wear the wig that I sent you in the box and wrap the bandana around the lower half of your face. Have fun.Sincerely,
Uncle TonyScoffing at how cheesy the letter sounded, Valdís came to a conclusion that Tony, being as rich as he was, must've had someone else write the letter for him. Either way, she was thankful that he actually took the time to make it for her.

The moment Val slipped out of her apartment, she instantly hit the streets. She helped many different people. She stopped bad men from stealing old ladies' purses, thieves, and etcetera. The exhilaration she got from doing the simple deeds was amazing. It had been entirely too long since she was out and about, accomplishing a mission with a purpose.
Val sat on the edge of a random building she had stumbled upon and watched the sunset. The earth was so beautiful. She had never gotten to see life thrive and the earth shine until that past year when her father sent her to be a normal human, after being imprisoned by HYDRA since she was born.
Nevertheless, the peaceful evening was soon disrupted when she heard a bit of a ruckus coming from down below. She turned her head and eyed the origin of the noise. She spotted a few men in Avengers' masks, breaking and entering into a closed bank. She heard them use some sort of machinery to cut into the ATMs lined on the walls. Valdís rubbed her hands, mischievously, together and descended to the ground.
She began sneaking over to the bank, until she was stopped in her tracks by someone grabbing her arm and pulling her into a nearby alleyway. "I'll take care of it." A boy dressed in a skintight spider-looking suit whispered to her when he was sure they were out of hearing range.
Valdís scoffed and yanked his hand off of her arm. "I'll stop them, you'll get hurt in your simple costume." Val began to march toward the bank, but the spider-boy pulled her back.
"You'll get hurt, I can stop them." He corrected.
Valdís shook her head in disapproval at the boy. "Let's just do it together." The boy sighed, stomping all the way to the bank.
Valdís, perplexed, followed and watched the boy carefully. The two silently entered the bank, and began readjusting themselves before confronting the unknowing thieves, whom were five feet in front of them. Valdís readjusted her exaggeratedly sleek, black, long wig and bandana that concealed her face. The spider-boy adjusted his pose, then when the two divas were finally ready...the spider boy spoke up. "What's up, guys? Forgot your PIN number?" The spider boy asked, quickly gaining the attention of the thieves. The thieves all turned their faces to look at the pair of vigilantes, flaunting their Avengers' masks.
"Woah! You're the Avengers! What are you guys doing here?" Spider boy inquired. The robbers simultaneously got up and cocked their guns.
Spider boy shot out some strange, sticky, web-looking mixture from his hands out onto the robbers, stopping them from shooting at him and Valdís. Val found that as her cue to punch, kick and flip the criminals in order to knock them all out. Her stunts were jaw-dropping, but they still were not enough to put down the criminals.
One managed to grab an unordinary weapon they had stashed and pointed it at the spider boy and Valdís. The weapon sucked the two in, holding them together in midair, as if they were enclosed in a sac of zero gravity. The criminal turned the weapon off, thrusting the two forward to hit the wall.
Valdís groaned once her body slammed down against the ground. The moment she began to stand up, the weapon wielding criminal turned the strange machine on again and began slamming she and the spider boy up and down against the ceiling and floor.
The spider boy kept chit chatting, as he was doing since they first confronted the criminals. "I'm starting to think, you're not the Avengers!" He shouted. The spider boy managed to shoot out some of his webs and tripped the criminal who was controlling the strange weapon. The weapon turned off and released its hold on Valdís and the spider boy.
Valdís continued to attack the criminals as the spider boy did so too. "Alright, guys. Let's wrap this up, it's a school night." The spider boy announced.
"Right? I didn't even finish my homework for the night." Val sighed as she swung her arm around at one of the robbers.
The spider boy glued the criminals against the walls with his webs and hastily turned on their strange, purple glowing weapons on full blast. The weapon spun out of control as Valdís ducked. The weapon cut through the entire bank and even reached the building from across the street. Everywhere the weapon's beam cut through, it left a fire and a black, singed scar on the concrete.
The spider boy rushed out of the bank to check on the building from across the street that lit up into flames because of the strange weapons the robbers held. Valdís ran after him and helped him carry out a cat, and an older man out of the small shoppe.
She quickly turned around and peered at the damage she had done. The bank was in shambles as the walls crumbled into dust and the entire street was on fire or destroyed. She analyzed the surrounding area to see if the robbers were still in the premises. When Val realized they had booked it and escaped, she sighed. "Sorry, spider boy. We'll get them next time." Val told.
The spider boy chuckled. "That was crazy," he laughed excitedly, then stopped suddenly, "and its Spider-Man." He corrected.
Valdís chuckled. "What's your name?" Spider-Man inquired.
Val stopped for a second to think. She didn't know what to call herself now that she was an official vigilante. Shrugging, she turned to Spider-Man and told him the name Baron von Strucker used to call her: "Inferno."
