Tanya's pov

Miss Quill and I are the first to reach the entrance of the hall and we collide with the forcefield before we can stop ourselves. As I pick myself up I notice that Jack and Gwen have disappeared. I swear under my breath.

Ram and April soon join us, Charlie and Matteusz following them. Charlie shoots the forcefield but there's no effect on it. April turns to me, "Tanya, where are Jack and Gwen?" She asks.

"No idea," Miss Quill replies, "Looks like we're on our own as usual."

"Is there a fire exit, some other way to get in?" Charlie asks.

"Yeah but it's locked and if it is opened an alarm will go off, that gives Bilis way too much time." April says.

"It's all we've got though," says Ram, "And how do you know that there won't be a forcefield on that too?"

"We don't," Miss Quill aims a kick at the forcefield.

"Ok so we have to get through here," I say, "Anyone got any ideas?"

Jack's pov

The headteacher leads us towards the room by the staircase in the entrance of the school. She takes out a key which has Roman numerals in the place of where there would be the indents on a normal key and she opens the door. She pushes Gwen through before either of us can react and I follow without bothering to resist. Not that I could, she put handcuffs on us before leading us here with an electric charge that goes off if she activates it.

I step through the door and find myself in a huge room with a balcony running around the exterior of it. There are windows looking down into the room from the balcony and a person stands in each one. The one in the centre, directly in front of us, speaks, "State your names and your intent and I'll make this easy for you."

Something about him unsettles me and I quickly do as he says, Gwen taking my lead. However, when I tell him we're Torchwood he laughs.

"Torchwood was wiped out a long time ago, it hasn't been active in years. We would know." He says.

"Yeah well you don't get rid of us that easily," I say, noticing that the headmistress hasn't followed us inside the room. "Who are you then? You don't look like UNIT."

"We are the governors," He replies but before he can continue Gwen speaks.

"That's nice and all but we have a situation to deal with here and we should really be going."

"Oh don't worry about that, we have calculated a 90% chance that Quill will kill Bilis before he can put his plan into action."

"Look we don't want any trouble and we have a way to top him without anyone getting hurt, just let us fix this." Gwen says, her voice raising slightly in exasperation.

The man says nothing, he simply signals to something behind us and every person in the room turns away from us. I spin around just in time to stop a weeping angel from sending Gwen back in time. Gwen sees my eyes widen and she turns as well before looking confused, "Jack that wasn't there before, how did it get there?"

"Just keep looking at it, don't even blink," I reply.

"Why Jack? It's just stone."

"It's not stone, it's a weeping angel. It can move faster than you imagine but they become stone when you see them. It's the ultimate defence mechanism. The Doctor told me about them. I'm going to try the door, there's only one angel you should be ok."

I walk to the door and try to open it but it's locked again. I swear under my breath and turn to face Gwen, except Gwen is gone. Two weeping angels now face me and I swear under my breath. I just hope that they'll send us to the same place. I close my eyes.

A:N/Sorry that this chapter is so short, it felt like a good place to end the chapter.
