Pete paced. He was nervous. They would be here soon and he was in no way ready. Patrick was bring his little girl and Brendon was going to be a little late.

Dinner wasn't done but he wasn't too worried about that. It was the fact he was having people in his home. Dads gone for the night and wont be back till next week. It could also be the fact that his mom wasn't back from work yet.

With a sudden knock on the door, he jumped. Into the counter. Hitting he elbow on the perfectly shined marble. He ran over to the door, opening it to see the short man. A little girl, hiding behind him, with bright blonde hair and pretty pink dress was clenching his hand.

Patrick was wearing a black band tee with a red cardigan over it. his fordora sat perfectly upon his smooth golden hair. His glasses sat mid-way between his emerald green eyes and the tip of his nose. His black skinny jeans fit perfectly the black and white converses on his feet.

"Hey, I brought some cookies, if you don't mind?" His voice was like honey to Pete. The words rolled off his tongue and into Pete ears.

"Sounds g-good, Come in?" Pete stuttered. He was shy but didn't let show most of the time but right now he doesn't care. "Dinners almost done and Brendon will be here soon."

"Okay i don't mind." Patricks in holding the girl close. Shes little. I was told she was 6 but she looked much younger.

I lead them into the house and told them to take a seat. They sat  down in the kitchen and talked while they waited on the oven and Brendon. When Brendon finally arrived dinner was done and  they got settled in. Pete noticed the comfortableness of his two friends and decided to entertain them with stupidity. He made jokes and they laughed. Whit even laughed. He actually had to stop for a bit to let her breathe.

They were comfortable and wouldn't have it any other way. Time would tell if things would change, but for now, Pete smiled, Patrick laughed for the first time in years, and Brendon wasn't a asshole.
