I walked next to Jardan through the place I now get to call home once again.

"They look happy." Jardan said stopping on a balcony that over looked the town contained withing in our walls, I gave a small smile "They are." I said "This is just like we always wanted it to be." He said. "Wildlings and those living south of the wall living in harmony." I said watching as two children played tag down below.

Jardan stepped closer and put his arm around my waist as we continued to watch I rested my head on his shoulder. Jardan seemed to be in deep thought. "Why did you go to Castle Black?" Jardan suddenly asked me.

I sighed. "I had hoped that I slipped out of here without being noticed." I said Jardan scoffed. "Is she alright?" He asked I looked at him in astonishment. "She's my daughter, of course she would fight tooth and nail to get back alive." He said I sighed then frowned

"She may never wake up." I said "Is that so?" Jardan said I nodded "The Lord Commander didn't bury the Amulet at the shore. She had to use more of her energy to get to Castle Black and because there is no way to get past the wall she was found outside." I said

"This may not be as bad think it is." Jardan said.

"She was in deplorable condition when I saw her." I said "What of the Amulet?" Jardan asked me, I sighed "I switched it out with a fake when the Lord Commander wasn't paying attention." I said.

Jardan frowned "Now I know why you said she might not wake up." Jardan said I could hear the disappointment in his voice. "It was better then them finding out shes still alive and moving her here, Id rather sacrifice myself then our daughter... the child has been through enough." I said

"Does the council know?" He asked I shook my head. "I told them that I went to go gather some of Maliya's things from the Lord Commander." I said, Jardan half smiled.

"Its better then nothing." He said kissing my forehead.

It went quiet while we watched as the wildlings worked to help clean up Blackmoon.

"Do you think she'll die?" I asked Jardan. "No my love, I do not believe that her time is over just yet." He said.

"But as of right now." He said turning to face me he put a hand on my shoulder and the other hand went under my chin making me look up at him "We keep this secret between us."

"Agreed" I said he smiled. "Seems we have company" I whispered "Seems that way." Jardan said as the footsteps got louder. I turned my head to see Athen and Lenya walk through the door and out on to the door.

"Lord Jardan, Lady Ellena." Athen said bowing his head Lenya followed his movements.

"I'm sorry to interrupt your quality time, but ...." Athen looked to Lenya to finish his sentence. "The others of the small council have voted to push the issue of freeing those trapped in the ice my lord." Lenya said

"With the return of Lady Ellena and the death of Princess Maliya the small council wishes to use Lady Ellena to break the curse.

"Since when was the small council allowed to have meetings with out me present?" Jardan asked visibly getting agitated.

"Farra thinks you are unsuitable to continue to rule over Blackmoon." Athen said I watched Jardan's eyes widen. "Has that old hag lost her fuckin mind?" Jardan asked clenching his fists, I exchanged a look with Lenya.

"She's not the only one who thinks that." Lenya said looking down. "Shanna, Jamar, Alf  and Stava agreed with her.... Me, Lenya, Jarson, and Trorak are for keeping you as Lord of this House." Athen said. "Uvas remained neutral on the matter." Lenya said.
