Friday, was the first word that popped into my head as I left the house.

The first week back in town has been calm and uneventful. I blew out a sigh as Stefan's face clouded my thoughts.

I still haven't had the chance to thank him. There has been an absence of him for the past three days.

Each day I found myself carrying a chain of concern; despite the amount of times I told myself it was foolish to worry.

I don't know why I was so drawn to the guy. He probably has no clue that I even exist.

Bonnie met me at the entrance and eyed me with a wicked grin.

"What?", I asked as I joined her.

"Someone dressed up today."

I glanced down at my outfit, a knee length navy lace dress paired off with a leather jacket and black boots.

"Oh my gosh! Odette, I LOVE your dress!", Caroline popped out from around the corner.

"Um, thanks."

She nodded as her smile grew.

"Guess who I saw in the parking lot?"

I arched a brow and waited for her to continue.

"Stefan Salvatore!"

My heart faltered at the sound of his name; impossible.

"Are you sure?", I bit my lip.

"YES! Who else could it have been?"

I might get to thank him after all. I might actually get the chance to officially meet him.

My thoughts rambled on as I entered History.

Blood boiled under my cheeks as I hurried to my seat; he was here.

"Odette; right?"

I cautiously peeked up at his towering build.

"Yeah.", I cleared my throat.

He tossed me a pearly grin that nearly made me melt.

"I was wondering if you could help me get caught up with some of my assignments?"

"I would love to.", I shyly smiled.

His green eyes lit up with gratitude.

"Great, so do you want to meet up at The Grill after school?"

Perfect.

"Sure.", Was all I could manage.

Before he could say more, Mr. Tanner walked in and started the lesson.
