it's been several weeks since jackson and i last talked, and not gonna lie it's pretty boring, but i'm not complaining because he's a full on jerk.

i couldn't stop thinking about kelsey, was she okay? how was she doing? i just wanted to check up on her. if only i had her number...

i walked into nordstrom and scanned the store for these new vans i wanted.

once i found the shoes i wanted, i bent over and picked them up quickly. after i turned back around i accidentally bumped into a girl.

"sorry." i quickly said before she looked up. once our eyes met we instantly recognized each other.

"oh, emma right?" i furrowed my eyebrows to remember.

"yeah..." she laughed. "and justin?"

"correct." i chuckled.

as we stood there awkwardly, i instantly remembered what to ask.

"oh by the way, do you mind giving me kelsey's number? i wanted to check up on her—"

emma's eyes widened with excitement and instantly cut me off.

"oh yeah of course here!" she held out her phone as i copied down the number.

"thank you so much." i nodded. "it was nice seeing you!"

"you too." she smiled as she quickly walked away.

i mentally patted myself on the back, proud that i managed to get her number.

after i bought the right size of the shoes i wanted, i drove myself back home and immediately went to go text kelsey.

i was watching the last episode of season 7 on grey's anatomy, until my phone went off causing me to groan. who's trying to ruin my netflix moment now?

i slid out my phone and saw that i got a text from a random number.

i furrowed my eyebrows and slid to the right to unlock my phone.

unknown: hey kelsey it's justin. i ran into emma today and asked for your number, and i was just wondering how you were doing. :)

i felt my heart melt in my body as i put my hand over my chest. emma i've never loved you more.

kelsey: oh hi! i'm doing fine, thank you for asking :) i really enjoyed those chocolates😂

justin: haha i'm glad u did, i was wondering if you wanted to grab late lunch with me or something? lowkey have no friends rn bc everyone's on vacation and i don't rlly wanna hang with jackson haha.

oh my god, is this a date?

kelsey: haha yeah sure...where?

justin: i was thinking pizza hut

kelsey: sounds good !! i'll see you there in an hour!
