chapter five: fighting for my life

Guards surrounding me and all I could think was don't use the demon or I will die. I got ready bringing out both my swords and firing up whatever power I could draw out, my golden flames are as bright as the sun and I looked up at the sky mad at how blue it was when I was sitting down here about to say hi to the devil. And was being engulfed by his darkness.

Kanae "let's fight! LET'S END THIS ALL NOW!"

I was on a rampage cutting down and burning every guard that tried to attack me when Hiroshi was in the corner of my eye staring me down as though I had failed him and he was mad at me but then complete shock came over his face and he dropped everything in his arms I looked forward a little girl was in front of me, my sward almost touching her, I dropped to the ground putting my swards down I moved to the little girl who was in tears and hugged her "I'm so sorry" I whispered. The little girl's father ran over pushing me off of her then slapping me "YOU EVER COME NEAR MY CHILD AGAIN I'LL KILL YOU!"

Scared I got up and ran, after a few feet I ran into Rangie knocking him over and springing my ankle.

Rangie "are you ok?"

Kanae "yeah I think I just sprained my ankle that's all"

Rangie "here let me help you. I'll patch you up at the Guild... and where have you been Sasuke has been searching all over for you he said something about making you cry"

He picked me up carrying me on his back, I didn't want to tell him about me running out on Sasuke and getting into another fight. We had made it to the guild; Sasuke was there and followed us into the medical room.

Sasuke "what happened this time. Why would you..." he stopped himself "damn it!" he raised his voice making me flinch. "Rangie what did she do this time" his voice even louder making me flinch again.

Rangie "she ran into me knocking me over and spraining her ankle, but dude you need to calm down your making her flinch."

I looked down scared to look at Sasuke

Sasuke "what's that mark on your arm" he said grabbing me forcing me to turn and show him the cut I didn't even realized I had but I knew I got it from the fight, he looked at me and moved my hair away from my face and put his hand under my chin forcing my head back "you have scraps all over your face"

I knocked his hand off of me and burned the bandage Rangie was putting on my foot then got up and limped out the room into the basement remembering a forbidden magic I learned to heal myself; I drew a circle with a star in the middle. Sasuke and Rangie had just made it to the bottom of the stairs. Using my fire, I made it go over the marks I drew then stepped into the middle of the star.

Sasuke "KANAE NO!"

Kanae "I am fine, it's not my first time doing this... sky dragon I call upon your power so I may heal thyself, so please grant me my one wish and help me."

My flames went from gold to blue. Rangie was holding Sasuke back, I was lifted into the air and within seconds I was healed then placed gently onto the ground "Thank you sky dragon"

Sasuke "let me go" he broke away from Rangie's grip running toward me "you idiot if you need to do something like that I would have taken you to my place!" he was looking at me with anger over what I just did. But I didn't say anything "so now you're not speaking to me. Damn it please just look at me, K-K-Kanae I love you."

My heart felt like it was going to beat out of my chest I looked at Sasuke shocked, everything in me was screaming to say I love you but I couldn't speak
