Yumiko's POV
Last night's call was from Karasuma-sensei. Telling me that that machine would be coming as a students. So I brought earmuffs to block out the gunshots.
However, with all that shooting and that assassination, Korosensei can't teach. Not that I care. All of my subjects are at the top. But it is a distraction, since I haven't been in school for three years.
The next day, I saw Terasaka taping up Fixed Artillery San. I walked over to Nagisa.
"Good morning Nagisa-Kun. Hey what's Terasaka doing?"
"Oh, good morning Yumiko-San. Well Terasaka is taping up Fixed Artillery San so she won't disturb the class. "
"Is he even allowed to do that?" I asked. And sweat dropped.
"Well, I guess."
Guess I won't need these earmuffs after all.
The bell rang. Class was starting.
I took my seat, and a moment later Korosensei entered the classroom.
Then, I heard Fixed Artillery SAN starting up.
"8.29 and 35 seconds A.M. All systems go.
Power-system voltage: stable.
Operation system: normal.
Recording disk: normal.
Various devices: normal.
No unnecessary elements found.
Programme start.
Verifying tasks. Today's plans: Attack per 215 before sixth period; continuing analysing target's evasion patterns..."
Everyone was waiting for her to notice that she was taped up. Once she started up, she stopped talking.
She tried deploying her guns at first but the tape prevented her.
"Korosensei, I cannot take out my guns like this. Please remove my restraints."
"Well, I don't know..." Korosensei said while rubbing the back of his head.
"Is this your doing? Clearly it is harming me, in violation of your agreement."
"Wrong!" Terasaka said as he threw and eraser at her.
"It was me. You're a pain in the ass anyway you look it. Learn some common sense before firin' away ya Box of bolts." Terasaka said.
" Machines don't know what common sense even is!"Sugaya exclaimed.
"We'll release you once class is over."Hara reassured.
"That's what you get. If we keep getting repeats of yesterday, we'll never learn anything." Sugino said.
And for the rest of the day, she didn't even make a sound. So I Guess everyone was pleased.
The bell rang. Which meant we could go home. But before I could, Korosensei asked me to stay back to help him upgrade Fixed Artillery San and gave me a list of things to buy. I asked Karma to go home first. Then, I got on my bike and rode to wear I could get all the stuff he needed.
By the time I got back to class, it was already night time.
I got into the classroom, and saw Korosensei talking to Fixed Artillery San.
"Now, now-- don't rely on your parents. I can't really say that the tactics that your parents thought up are a good fit for this classroom." Korosensei said.
"I would have to agree with him on that. Plus, you are a transfer student at that. First you've gotta come up with a good way to get along with everyone. "I continued.
"Get along?" She asked.
"Do you know why the students are interfering with your assassination while I'm not?" Korosensei asked.
"Because, as we see it, your attacks disrupt class. And if you did happen to kill him, the prize money would probably all go to your parents. Your assassination has no upside for us at all." I answered.
"Now I understand, Korosensei, Yumiko-San. I had not considered my classmates' interests."
"Nufufufufu, you are a smart one. Here I made this for you. Some apps and extra RAM. All
virus-free, so please, take it."He connected the RAM to her.
"What is this?" She asked.
"It's a simulation software for working with you're classmates as you Attack. You can see how it boosts your assassination success rate."
"No objections."
"I think you can see how vital cooperation is to the assassination. Well? Surely you'd like to get along orh with everyone?" I said.
"I don't know how." Fixed Artillery San answered.
He then lifted up the box of things that I bought.
"As you can see, I asked Yumiko- SAN to help me prepare."
"What is that?"
"All the software you need for cooperation and more RAM." I answered.
"Harming you may be against the rules, but there is nothing about increasing your capabilities." Korosensei said as he lifted up his tools.
"Good morning." He said as he opened her compartment.
"Why are you doing this? These upgrades will only shorten your life span. I can understand why Yumiko-San would want to do this but not you Korosensei."
"Ya, why are you doing this? Korosensei." I asked.
"Well because, I'm your teacher first, your target second. Yesterday was all it took for me to understand that both your ability and desire to learn are extremely high.
Your parents gave you that gift, and it's my job as I teacher to develop it.
Learn to work with your classmates and develop your gifts even further."
"Korosensei..."She said.
At first I thought she was going to thank him until she continued.
"Is this world sweet checklist necessary for cooperation?"
"Ahh, I, uhh... thought you could maybe help me with that. Was I asking for too much?"
I sweat dropped.
Since it was so late, Korosensei offered to walk me down the mountain.
"Korosensei, you know I am a pro assassin right? I don't really need you to walk me down."
"I know, but I'm still your teacher. And I am responsible for your well being."
"Well for someone who's going to destroy the Earth come March, your a better teacher than I expected."
"I will take that as a compliment."
"Hehe, I wonder how the others will react to her new upgrades."
"Well, I Guess we will have to wait until tomorrow to find out. Ah, anyways, thank you for helping me out Yumiko- san. Now have a safe trip home."
"No problem, Korosensei. Well I'll see you tomorrow."
I started walking away, until I turned around and said something.
"You know, you remind me of the teacher that helped me with my assassination career, while I was overseas. Who knows. You might be related somehow."
He froze. Not uttering a single word.
I gave him a sly grin.
"See you tomorrow, Korosensei."
I turned around, got on my bike and rode back home.
I wonder how the others will react to her new attitude adjustment.
