Yumiko's POV
"Finals?" I said out loud.

"Yup." Nagisa confirmed for me.

Currently, Nagisa was updating me on what was happening in this crazy classroom of ours. I wasn't here this morning, because I was running a little favour for Karasuma-sensei. Apparently, we have a final exam in two days.

"For every subject that we top, is a tentacle destroyed." Nagisa said with a closed eye smile.

"Then we should take advantage of that." I said.

"But one tentacle for each top score." Nagisa crosses his arms.

"Yeah! We can do this!" Okuda cheered.

"When are you ever this fired up, Okuda?" Karma asked.

"Well since science is my one strong suit, I might finally be able to help everyone out!"

"We have our share of high-scoring students here. Acing one subject each isn't that far-fetched." Kayano pointed out.

Just then, Sugino's phone began to ring. It was Shindo.

"Hello? Hey, what's up? Haven't seen you since the tournament..."

I just decided to tune him out. Finals, huh. Well, this should be easier than any assassination. Why I say that is simple. You can pick any assassin out there, and I can tell you their knowledge would be higher than average.....

"...known as the five virtuous. A group of geniuses who are the pride of our school." I heard Shindo say on speaker.

That made me turn my head. Geniuses?

"Ranked 2nd overall on the mid term exams!! His overwhelming ambitions in the media field are public knowledge. The head of the broad casting club, Araki Teppei!!" I sweat dropped. Seriously?

"Ranked 3rd overall on the mid term exams!! A shrewd poet who took the fine arts competition by storm!! The student council secretary, Sakakibara Ren!!
Ranked 5th overall in the midterm exams!! A demon if memorisation whose vengeance against Akabane, who stole the 4th slot from him, burns like the fire of a thousand suns. The head of the biology club, Koyama Natsuhiko!!
Ranked 6th overall on the midterm exams!! Despite his personality! His language skills are the real deal! The student assembly chair, Seo Tomoya!!"

"Erm, hold on a second, Shindou, are you actually narrating all of this?" Sugino asked.

"Oh. Y-Yeah, I've always wanted to try doing that sort of thing." Was Shindou's reply.

I sweat dropped again. That's one hell of an intro.

"And finally, the top in our year who rules over the student body. The one who ranked 1st on both our mid-terms and national mock exam. He bored chairman's one and only Son, the student council president, Asano Gakushuu!!"

The five virtuous, huh. The five of them said to be the smartest at this bias school. And the leader of them all is the chairman's only Son Asano Gakushuu.

I smirked.

They should be quite entertaining. Like I mentioned just now, pick out any assassin, and you'll find their IQ to be higher than most. Our job isn't as simple as killing. No. It requires great knowledge as well. I once heard of an assassin. Those who were stronger than him, he killed using his mind. And those who were smarter than him, he killed with his strength. And those gifted with both, he killed with his charm. That is what an assassin should be. But assassins like that are rare. I haven't seen anyone like that since...
