Grant's POV

I quickly grabbed my books and quickly followed Aspens steps into the first classroom. I saw her sit down around some other people, ironically with no seats beside her. I saw a seat near the front and I sat down (again) ironically next to Jenna. "HEY GRANT! What's up?" I smiled and glanced over at Aspen, "um, i'm pretty good." Her smile faded as she turned to look at Aspen. "I am so glad you're at our school. Actually, funny story, I am such a theatre person and I know you are, so it would be cool if you were in the performance this semester!" I shrugged, "Oh yeah, um that would be cool." She smiled, "Great! I'll sign you up. All you have to do is show up on Thursday  next week." I turned back again to look at Aspen and in the middle of her talking she looked up at me, and smiled.

After class I went back to my locker and shoved the homework into my backpack and went to my next class. I met some guys that were on the track team and even though the school's mascot was the Badger, they still considered themselves "Team Flash". By lunch I had a group of people to hang out with, including Jenna, who decided to tag along with her crowd following behind her. I searched around for Aspen but I could not find her. "Dude, she could be outside, I don't know, no one really eats out there." I walked outside to the lunch tables on the patio and I found Aspen and her friend eating and a couple of other people around them. Her friend looked up and saw me and waved me over secretively and I waved back saying that I'll be right there. I went inside and grabbed my lunch and excused myself from the table, apologizing to my track crew about ditching them. Jenna on the other hand wasn't really paying attention anyways.

I took my lunch over to the patio table and sat down. "Where's your crew?" Aspen said before she popped a french fry into her mouth. "I wanted to sit by y-- I mean you seemed a little more 'antisocial' than your instructor would like." She dipped her head to one side, "Are you serious? You actually want me to be more social?" I nodded, 'Yeah why not?" I looked at her friend who was looked back and forth at us the entire time, "I guess it's for my sake... I want to sit by you all and my 'Team Flash' back there." She chuckled," Honestly, I am fine. Erin's here and as much as I'd love to sit by you, I have you as a locker buddy... I'm good." I sighed, "Oh good. I really didn't want to leave you out. You're pretty normal." She crunched her face as I stood up, "What is that supposed to mean?" I slightly paused with one leg in the air from climbing over the bench, "It means that I can be myself without being known as Barry Allen or Sebastian Smythe."

Aspen's POV

He smiled and skipped a couple steps to regain his balance and then paced himself back inside. I looked down to eat more fries and as I looked back up and saw Erin staring at me. "What?!" She shrugged as she daintily picked up a fry and waved it around,"You are just SUCH a good liar... for cheatin out guys like him." I winced my eyes to make serious eye contact, "What do you mean?" She dropped her fry on the tray and raised her arms, "Ohhh noo Grant, the man of my dreams, you go right ahead and leave me alone because I'll see you again for a 30 second period at our lockers... Oh yeha I sooo don't feel left out and I sooo don't want to spend every. single. momemt. with you." I laughed and looked down, "I'm not admitting to that..." Erin picked up her fry, "You don't have too."
