A castle sat on top of a hill. "Look, Din. Such an inspiring view."
Din's eyes faintly opened. Onox smiled at her. "Holodrum's Seasons are running wild... it's fertility has been stolen, and soon all life will perish. Truly a land of the dead. This is the dark world that I desire. YOU, Din, will be the one mote of beauty in my desolate world."
Onox pressed his hand against the crystal. Din shot up, glaring at him. "ONOX!! You can lock me away, but the land is strong... it will not die! The Rod of Seasons still sleeps in the Temple! Someone will—"
"I have already sent one of my minions to the Temple. Should anyone go there..."
A bat came flying in. "General Onox!' Link has killed Medelock! He's on the march, already at northern peak!"
Din smiled. "It seems as though you may be the one about to perish."
"SILENCE!! Don't just sit there flapping your wings! Take this message to our troops! Link must be stopped before he reaches the castle! Mark my words, Oracle, for hero will fall to the power of darkness... and you will watch it happen."
Link sat on a snowy mountain. Ricky came up to him. "What's wrong, Link? What're you doin' out here? You're gonna catch a cold!" Link didn't respond. He hugged his knees.
"Worried about your girlfriend?"
Link grunted, and lowered his hands, and turned his head. "I told you, she's not my girlfriend! She's the Oracle of Seasons, and we have to get her back! Without her the seasons are all messed up... everything's wasting away."
Ricky followed Link, as Link walked down the mountain. "Why don't you just wave that Rod?"
Link looked back. "You're right. I'll turn the season to spring!"
Link waved the Rod, and the snow started blooming into beautiful flowers. Maple was most interested. "Oh, let me try it once! Pleeeease?"
Link pulled it away from Maple. "This isn't a toy. We need it to beat Onox." Piyoko pointed at something. "Look!"
Link stared. "Is that Onon's Castle?"
On their way there, multiple dead plants littered the ground. Maple walked over to a skull. Caterpillars crawled out of the eye sockets. "Eww!"
Link grabbed her arm as he walked past. "If you're scared, you don't have to come, Maple!"
Maple shook Link off of her. "Nothing scares a great witch!"
Link and Ricky struggled to climb the mountain. "You're lucky you can fly, Maple!"
They heard some moaning, and saw a person in a cloak sitting down. "Um... hello? Who are you?"
The person looked at them. Their hands trembled as they held onto a walking cane. "I'm bent over by old age.. and I can't walk. Will you help me?"
"I'm not sure how. We can't take you back the way we came." Maple came along. "It isn't far to the castle. Why doesn't she just wait here? I'll guard her... and hold onto the Rod of Seasons for you, too."
Link glared at Maple. "As if!! Okay, ma'am, let's go." Link grabbed onto the elderly woman's hand, and pulled. "Thank you so much. You're too kind..."
The woman looked at Link, glaring. It startled Link, and he started to slip off the mountain. The old lady came with him. "AHHH!"
Ricky jumped, and grabbed onto the ledge. "Link, grab my tail!" Link grabbed onto Ricky's tail, but Ricky slipped. Link, Ricky, Piyoko, and the old woman went falling down the cliff. "AHHHHHHH!!"
Maple rolled her eyes. "Ugh, you guys are high maintenance! Handkerchief! Turn into a big cushion!!"
Something flashed, and the handkerchief slowly floated down. "Huh?!" Maple's broom rocked, sending Maple to fall off and plummet to the ground. "AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! Who dispelled my magic?!"
At the bottom, the old woman was nowhere to be found. "Ow! Ow! Ow! Maple, why'd YOU fall?"
"My magic was dispelled!"
Link looked up, seeing two old women on brooms.
The Twinrova! "You're too kind! That's your fatal flaw, Link! How sad. Din is close, but your journey ends here, I'm afraid."
Monsters came crawling out from the rocks. Link struck and sliced them. "Enough stalking! If we're gonna fight, let's do it!"
The world seemed to pause at that moment. Suddenly, loud rumbling gradually got louder. All kinds of giant monsters peered over the rocks. No, not giant... huge, humongous!
Maple's eyes got smaller. "L-Link...! L-Look out!! Th-There are too many! There's no place to hide!!"
Link shoved Maple away. "Maple, fly out of here!" Maple gladly obeyed, and flew off.
Something grabbed Link. Ricky shoved Link into his pouch. "What the..?! Ricky! Lemme out!! What are you doing?!"
The monsters surrounded Ricky. "No way! If you get hurt now... the General of Darkness will win it all. Don't worry, I can knock out all these small fries by myself!"
Multiple monsters charged.
"RICKYYYYYYYY!!!"
