Rosaline P.O.V

"Rosie, look I'm sorry, please open the door" Hunter asked softly.

You are maybe wondering why Hunter is asking for me to open the door, well you see it all started when we literally ran into the entrance hall about an hour ago.

< One Hour Ago >

My Mother stepped forward but Hunter surprisingly stepped back.

"Hunter?" my Mother whispered, maybe not believing that her son was right here in front of her, the same son she had left many years ago.

Our Mother reached out trying to reach out to Hunter but he pushed her hand away, aggressively might I add.

"what are you both doing here?" Hunter questioned, every word was dripping with hatred, I knew he hated them both but even so the amount of hatred still startled me.

He looked at our Mothers green eyes, then to our Fathers almost black ones. Hunter had a very straight face, masking his emotions. Which is rare for Hunter, for as long as I have known him he has been a very open-emotional person.

Our Mother turned her eyes from Hunter and looked at me, I didn't know what to say so our Mother looked back at Hunter when she knew I wasn't going to say anything.

"Rosaline invited us here, for your birthday in two weeks" our Father answered.

Hunter whipped his head towards me, anger fully shown on his face but I could also hear the hurt in his voice when he spoke "you did what?"

I was slightly shocked at the volume he used but I soon composed myself and stood up straighter, the reason why we ran into the entrance hall long forgotten "I had invited our parents, for your thirty-first birthday"

Hunters eyes turned sad and his angry face turned soft. He looked at me like he didn't know who I was, like I was a stranger to him "why?" he whispered quiet enough I knew our parents could hardly hear him.

I glanced at our parents in the corner of my eye to see them both staring at the both of us.

"Hunter, it has been over seventeen years, all I wanted is for you to know why they did what they did and if you still don't want them here I will send them back" I explained softly.

I guess it wasn't soft enough as Hunter went from the hurt whisper to an angry shout "yeah! All you wanted! It's always about what you want, you never consider what other people might feel, you just think that if you do something like this everyone will automatically adjust to it!"

I took I Hunters words in carefully trying to read between the lines almost "what is this coming from Hunter?"

Hunter sighed and ran his hand through his hair "Rosaline. . ." he never uses my real name only the nickname ever since he started living with me "you always think of yourself, every situation it's always about you and how this will affect you, it is never about how it will affect the people around you"

Hurt and anger washed over me like a wave, no wait! I'm more than angry, I'm furious, how dare he think that.

I pointed my finger in his face "you don't have the authority to say those thing"

Hunter looked furious as well, more than before when the words left my mouth "stop throwing your title around like that, like you have power over everyone, you don't, we are all human and so are you!"

"I do not-" I started to defend myself but Hunter interrupted me.

"yes, you do, whenever someone says something you don't like, or does something you don't like you throw your title at them and they get scared because they think of all the bad things you could do to their lives. You think you have power over everyone, but you don't! when we are in meeting and someone questions you, you ask them if they know who they are talking too. When you, myself and Tina are joking around and ether me or Tina joke about you, you'll ether yell at us or threaten us"
