Rosaline P.O.V
"once we arrived to the hospital the Doctor said that she was in the late stages of lung cancer and it was too late to save her, the doctor also said he was surprised she lasted as long as she did" I could feel the back of my eyes start to sting from the painful memories but i kept my composure and carried on.
"as Lilly has no living relatives I was the one that was given permission to go through her will, it had all the common things like; give half her monkey to charity and where she wants to be buried. But there was one request in her will i didn't even know about. it said 'I leave all rights and ownership of my apartment complex to Rosaline-Marie Valentine and I also thirty thousand euro to Roslaine-Marie' which was around twenty five grand at the time, I was amazed that Lilly left that amount of money to me and the apparent complex as well. two to three weeks after the will was read we had the funeral for Lilly, it was short and sweet just like her. I soon went back to the apartment complex after that, Sofia and Piero left Italy to travel around the world, so I was left alone with over twenty five grand in the bank and a apartment complex. Running the apartment complex was difficult at first but then I had the bright idea of changing the apartment complex into a hotel which took months of clearing everything out and re-decorating but always keeping the homely feel to it, which the apartment complex always seemed to have even in the darkest of days. I think the easiest of parts re-decorating and converting the apartment complex was the name it took me a whole minute to think of a name 'Lilly's Hotels' I will be honest it wasn't the most creative of names but i named it not having creativity in mind but Lilly, Lilly was always in my mind when I was decorating the hotel with every decision and every idea she was there inside my head" I took a moment to remember the amount of time and energy converting the apartment complex took out of me over the few months.
"nobody thought I could pull it off, but I did. Around a year later Lilly's Hotel became a tourist success, so I did the only thing i could do. . . Expand. it took little over three years before i became global, I have Hotels and restaurants everywhere. but three years ago I became home sick, I missed the UK, I missed the random ran showers, the cold summers and most of all I missed home. so, I came back and built my Manor House and Headquarters here in London and before long it became home again" I finished.
I walked back over to my chair away from the window, once I was seated I looked up at my parents and my Mother was in tears, covering her mouth to try and not make any sound as I talked, but when she realised I was finished she stood up quickly and walked around the desk to hug me.
I just sat in my chair with my arms by my side, after a few seconds of her hugging me and her probably getting my black blazer damp from her tears she whispered in my ear "I'm so proud of you"
When she let go I brought my eye brows together in confusion "why?"
"just because..."
I glanced at my Father who was in a state of shock, when my Mother went back to sit next to him and he came out of his shock state he spoke "so you run a global hotel business?"
Raising one eye brown at my father in question. Isn't that what I just told them "yes I do, I also own a couple of restaurant as I wanted something new to work on"
"I'll get someone to show you to your room, so you can process this new information and once you have come to terms with it I will personally give you a tour of the Manor House"
I looked through all the papers on my desk making sure not to mix them up, reminding myself to put them into files before I loose something important.
