Adrianna's POV
Twenty minutes.
Twenty minutes for me to get to the hospital.
Twenty minutes untill I could see the condition my boyfriend was in.
And twenty minutes for me to realize the depth of the situation.
Five seconds.
It took five seconds for the misterious van to wreck my car.
A misterious van that took off after the crash.
It took simply five seconds for me to have two broken ribs, a broken arm and a terrible concusion.
And you wanna know the worse part? I have no clue if Chris is alive or not.
All I've done since I woke up was beg the nurses and doctors to tell me if he was ok or not. They just kept saying "It's classified information" or just simply ignoring me. I mean he's ok, right? He can't be dead. No, it's impossible.
He and I are too young to be in a hospital hooked up to heart monitors. Too young to be in life or death situations.
We're teenagers! We're supposed to enjoy our youth! Hanging out with friends and partying with not a care in the world. We shouldn't have to deal with things like this.
I mean yeah, I get it, anything could happen but why worry about the bad possibilities in life? Why not focus on the good and happy things? Imagine if you knew every bad thing that was going to happen in your life before it even occured. How would that benifit you? You would just be stressed out and worrying about the bad, not noticing the good that's all around you.
We can't live in fear of the future. Life is about screwing up and going through bad things. If we never make mistakes or experience things, how could we learn?
I just hope Chris learns from this bad situation.

"Adri honey, how are you feeling?" I hear my mom say as she stands next to my bed.
"Well I'm starving, everything on my body hurts and I have no idea how Chris is doing so terrible. Ice cream would help tremendously though."
"Chris, Chris,Chris! That's all you've talked about since you've awoken from your concussion. Why are you so worried about Christopher? That pendejo is the reason you're in here! He put my beautiful baby in this hospital bed and you're sitting her worrying about him! He probably deserved to get shot. He's always been a lost delinquent child anyway. And I thought I told you ya'll we're done?" she yelled, rambling on and on.
"Seriously mother? You are really going to sit here and blame this whole situation on Chris. Wow mom, I honestly thought you were more mature than that. How could you say he deserved to get shot? He deserves to be in a hospital bed no more than I do. And you do realize trying to force me to break up with him doesn't change our feelings for each other one bit, right?"
"It's the truth and you know it! If he never would have gotten shot you would have never got in that car to come to the hospital and would have never ended up like this!" she yells gesturing to my broken body. I watch her take a deep breathe as she steps away from my hospital bed.
"You know what? Now is not the time or place to discuss this entire situation. You need to relax so consider this conversation postponed. I'll go get your ice cream" she says walking to the door.
"Thank God" I say rolling my eyes and taking my cell phone from my pocket.
"Oh and by the way, Chris is in a deep coma. He was shot five times. They doubt if he'll even wake up and if he does, more than likely he'll have brain damage" she says as she walks out my hospital room door.
