The next morning, after a night of...

I don't really remember anything.

It was a good time though.

Anyways. That's beside the point. I'm here to narrate this story to you, not to narrate my thoughts.

I got up from where I was lying down. I was on the mattress I laid on the floor for myself. Thank God, I probably hadn't done anything stupid then.

I looked around the backyard. The fire was out. Someone must've done that, or maybe the wood just eventually ran out.

I could see the tent we set up. Mike and Jace were probably sprawled across each other, sleeping like the idiots they are.

I entered the house. The dining room was empty aside from some breakfast on the table. I decided that I wasn't hungry, so I passed up the meal. I could hear plates clanking against each other in the kitchen. Probably Reuben.

In the living room, Venice was lying on the worn-out couch in a foetal position with a blanket draped above her, covering half of her face. Yodeline and Seryana lied on the floor in a cuddling position, their hair a tangled mess. I heard soft treading behind me and swiveled around hoping it was Dean, I haven't seen him since yesterday.

I turned around only to find Reuben's maltese making its way to the kitchen. She stopped right in front of me and peered up, probably expecting a belly rub or some treats. I bent down and ruffled her head, wishing I had a dog, someone to keep me company in my house. My aunt was never fond of me and the feeling was mutual to me. Being in the same room with her felt like hell, that's why I always spend time alone or with my friends. I looked around the room and thanked that I've people who got my back. I stood up and let her run into the kitchen.

Venice stirred awake and propped herself up on her elbows. She rubbed her eyes and pushed a few loose strands of her hair off of her face.

"Morning Lexi," she said in her morning voice. She smiled as she saw her other two friends still asleep.

"Hey," I greeted back, giving her a small salute. She returned a gesture with a serious face but failed as we started giggling at how childish we are.

"Are the both of you always that happy," Mike chuckled as he walked in. He glanced at Seryana who was still asleep. "Should I wake her up?" he asked.

"Nah, let them have some rest, besides it's going to be an exhausting trip to New York," Venice replied.

Mike gave a slight nod and glanced at Seryana again before joining Reuben in the kitchen. Suddenly, the sound of crashing plates got softer, and I figured Mike managed to teach Reuben how to not break plates.

Who haven't I seen? Oh, right, Violet and Dean. Oh wait wow that rhymed.

As if on cue, Violet walked out of the kitchen, her hair a mess. How did I not see her?

As if reading my mind, she told me, "I ended up sleeping on the kitchen floor. What the fuck."

I snorted. That was pretty funny.

I made my way up the stairs. When I got to the first landing, Dean was sleeping there, one of the steps as a makeshift pillow. How the hell did he even end up sleeping like that?

I couldn't wake him up, but this was to funny. I had to leave to laugh and avoid waking him up. My laughing fit began in the living room, which sadly woke up both Seryana and Yodeliene.

"Goddammit Lex, you literally just told me not to wake them up," Mike says as he walked back into the living room.

I just kept on laughing. The sight of Dean sleeping on the stairs, goddamn, that was the best thing I've seen all year.

"WHAT!" Someone yelled from the stairs. Well, who else could it be?

"Lexi thinks you're hilarious," Venice yells back.

"I'm honoured," He grumbles, coming into the living room to join us. "I am... hungry."

"You're always hungry," I giggled.

He glared at me. "And you're always...uh, um-"

"Oh damn he's out of shots!" Reuben yells from the kitchen.

"Hey! Stay out of this!" Dean yells back.

I collapsed on the floor dying of laughter. So did Venice. This was just too funny. Yodeliene and Seryana were still on the floor, trying to process this madness.

"You know, we might have to go another time if the hold up is going to take this long," Mike states.

Jace stumbles into the living room, bed hair still present. "Wait, what?"

A crash was heard from the kitchen.

"What...what?" He asked again.

Mike sighed, and went back into the kitchen. "That's the third fucking bowl today Reub!"

Venice and I couldn't even manage to laugh anymore. Our stomachs hurt and tears were falling out of our eyes.

We were definitely leaving just a little bit later if the electricity keeps up like this.
