Chapter 1: Intro

I was scrolling through my phone. Lagi akong nasa Instagram app dahil sa mga magagandang IG feed ng mga celebrities na finofollow ko. Nakaupo ako sa bench dito sa garden namin at inaappreciate ang kagandahan ng view. Favorite time of the day ko 'to, kung kelan sunrise. Tahimik pa kasi sa village namin ng ganitong oras at napakapeaceful. Syempre, hindi mawawala yung coffee at croissant bread sa tabi ko.

It was almost perfect until a phone call ruined the peacefulness.

Unknown number.

"Good morning! Hello, Ms. Nadine Lustre?"

"Uhmm. Hello? And who's this?"

Nagtatakang tanong ko. Who would even call me this early? 5:30 a.m. pa lang kaya. Malay mo, holdaper pala 'to. Dami nang loko-loko these days, kaya dapat laging sure. 'Tulad ng mga lalake, ang dami nilang mahilig manloko ng mga babae. Sana naman ininform tayo na bago nila tayo paglaruan, maitatak sa isipan nila na tao tayo at hindi barbie dolls.

Hala, saan nanggaling 'yun? Wtf, Nadine.

"This is from Viva Ent. I would like to tell you that we'll be giving you another chance to shine in showbiz. Are you interested?"

OMG! Is this serious? I've been waiting for this! Tila naging stars ang mata ko nang marinig ko yung magandang balita na yun. Pero, ano kayang role ko sa movie na yun? Stripper sa club, pulubi, mistress, o multo? Jusko, 'wag sana. Tatanungin ko na lang kung anong movie ito.

"Of course! Ano po bang movie?"

"It's a romance kind of a movie na may pagka-teen infatuation. At ikaw ang napili ng author ng story na yun para sa lead role!"

Shit just got real. Am I dreaming?

"Ay weh?"

She laughed. "You'll know more later, Ms. Nadine. We're inviting you here in Viva na pumunta sa building namin later at 10 a.m. We'll talk about this and hopefully, makaattend ka. Grab lang nang grab ng opportunity, 'di ba?"

I'm so excited! 'Di ako makapaniwala. Masyado nang maganda yung araw ko, parang ako. Joke lang! Pero seryoso, sobrang saya ko talaga ngayon. At sabi nga nung kausap ko sa phone, grab lang nang grab ng opportunity. Of course, I won't miss this one!

"Yes, yes sure. I'll be there at 10 a.m., as you wish po," I giggled. "Thank you po ulit! See you po later."

"Good! See you later also. Have a nice day ahead."

I rushed into the house at sinabi kaagad sa parents ko na I will be having a movie. They were so surprised and at the same time, super happy. I hope I made them proud. Seeing my parents proud is the most fulfilling and satisfying feeling ever.

By the way, I'm Nadine Alexis Lustre. Ang kalokalike ni Kathryn Bernardo. Char!

Sino kaya leading man ko? Omg talaga. Sana pogi at hot. Demanding much ba? Pero seryoso, I'm starting to wonder. Sino kaya?

I woke up in the morning because of my effin alarm clock that keeps on beeping. Damn, I still want to sleep. I snoozed my alarm clock and went back to sleep again.

But my phone rang.

I hate this life.

"Hello?!" I said irritably.

"Hello, Mr. James. Good morning! Have I bothered your sleep? I'm so sorry."

I checked the caller's name. It's Viva.

"Oh no, no. It's okay. Viva right? Why did you call?"

"Good news! A movie, sir."

Nagising ang buong diwa ko. Seryoso? Movie? Wow! Right at this very moment, I'm expecting that hopefully I would be the lead role. This is really a great news.

"Woah, are you serious? What movie?"

"Actually, it's a love story. We'll talk about it later. If you don't mind, iniinvite kita dito sa Viva at exactly 10 a.m. and you will be meeting other cast from that movie. You'll also meet your leading lady later," She giggled. "I hope you'll come. Have a nice day ahead!"

"Sure. Okay, have a nice day too. Thanks."

I ended the call. I think my girl would be happy if she knew this. And I wonder kung kasama rin siya sa movie. Hmmm.

Calling Rica...

"Rica!"

"James, sup?"

"You know what? May bagong movie na ako! But I'm not yet sure kung anong movie eh. Are you also a part of the movie? Are you my leading lady?"

"Oh, really? Congrats! I'm so happy for you. So that means you will be going to Viva later? And sad to say, nope. Haven't received any calls or texts from Viva. So basically, I'm not a part of it nor am your leading lady."

"Oh, I thought it was you. Sayang naman. Sige, I'll call you again later. Let's have lunch na lang later and celebrate after my meeting at Viva. Bye! Love you."

"Okay, good luck. Bye, love you too."

She's Rica Villangca. My girlfriend. Well, as far as I know, onti lang ang nakakalam na kami na. Mga fans ko actually. Maybe because I'm not that exposed to showbiz yet. And I admit na hindi masyadong wide ang fandom ko ngayon. Although naging big winner ako ng PBB, it doesn't mean na sobrang sikat na ako ngayon.

Rica's a singer songwriter. Kasama niya ang sister niya sa pagkanta. They're also popular. Magaling siyang kumanta, and ako, magaling din. That's the vertex why our lines have met each other. We both love music.
