Dark stared ahead blankly, the assistant's words going through one ear and out the other, and he'd occasionally give a nod to make it seem like he had at least some care for what she was saying. He'd been here for an hour, lounging on Lucifer's--well, technically it's now his--chair while the girl listed off his duties and services he'd have to provide for the people. He didn't care, he was close to ripping the girl's head right off her shoulders, oh what a sight that'd be.

He bit back an annoyed groan as she cleared her throat, kicking his legs up over the armrest, propping his head up with his elbow and fist on the other armrest. The girl glared at him through her thick framed glasses, flames dancing in her fiery eyes, not that Dark paid much attention to her own aggression. Anti would look absolutely adorable in a pair of glasses like that, maybe he should get him some

"When can I hire a new assistant?" Dark asked, his tone bored as he twirled a button on his flannel shirt, not really caring that he just interrupted her.

"Whenever you want, Sir," she said with a fake smile, brushing her dagger like claws through her ginger hair, probably out of frustration.

Dark smirked to himself, not looking up as he waved her off, "Then go fetch me a new one, preferably one that doesn't dress like a whore and gives me no attitude."

He flicked off his button, the black bead went skidding across the floor and smacking her clicking heels as she stormed out the door. He chuckled to himself, he was kind of a dick to others and now, they couldn't talk back to him unless they wanted to be banished, maybe this job was perfect for him after all.

As soon as he heard the door slam shut and he knew he was alone, he stood from his throne, walking around and eyeing all of the unique trinkets and medieval devices that filled the dark room. He didn't know what half of them did but he'd learn over time.

One item in particular drew his attention, it was on a pedestal, a bowl filled with swirling, glowing mist and liquid. He looked around, making sure he was truly alone before swiping a hand through the fog, gasping as bright colors bled in to form an image of a familiar face.

"Anti..." he whispered. He could see his boyfriend walking through a busy, crowded street, demonic features completely concealed. He was dressed rather nicely and the flames in the sky reflected off his skin beautifully but...wait, those weren't the flames of Hell, that's obviously sunlight. Was he on Earth?

He didn't have time to dwell on it, the double-doors swung open loudly and Dark quickly moved away, the image of Anti melting back to the murky liquid, the mist swirling around the bowl once again.

"Good morning, Sir," a male voice greeted and Dark cocked an eyebrow, he knew that accent from somewhere.

He went back to his throne, sitting down before the stranger walked into the light. As soon as he caught notice of his features, Dark had to suppress growl, it was the demon from the party, the one who thought he could have something that didn't belong to him, the one who laid a hand on Anti.

"Felix," Dark ground through gritted teeth, hatred bubbly deep inside for the Swede.

He knew Infelix before the bar incident, he would have even considered him to be a friend, if Dark had friends. He was an acquaintance of sorts from hundreds of years back when they were only teens, but that was thrown out the window the first time Felix tried to take something of his. More like someone, but Dark didn't mull over the past, especially when he had a loving boyfriend now.

"You're my new assistant?" he asked with a slight glare. Felix nodded, handing him a few papers that needed his signature.

"I'm sorry for the party Sir, I didn't know Antisepticeye was your pet, I wouldn't have tried anything if I had that understanding," he apologized, grabbing a pen from his pocket for him as well.

Dark grunted, "He's not my 'pet,' he's my boyfriend." He skimmed the documents, seeing as they were harmless enough and signed for them, giving them back to Felix when he finished. "He's much more than some object to me. I love him, I see him as an equal and I highly respect him as a demon, everyone else here should too."

"Duly noted," he smiled politely, his black and blue eyes glinting, "Will you be bringing him in? Or will we need to have someone look after him as a safety precaution?"

Dark bit the inside of his cheek as he remembered that forgotten rule. Anti was in danger by being in a relationship with him now that he was a ruler, he'd need to be watched over at all times by either him or someone else who could keep him out of harm's way.

"Tomorrow I'll bring him in," he sighed, "He'll be fine for today, if he's in distress, I'll know and handle it."

Anti wouldn't like it, he was a proud demon who knew his strengths and had a grave dislike for being seen as weak by anyone other than Dark. A constant eye on him would only upset him but it was something that had to be done.

Felix left soon after that, excusing himself to attend other matters of importance. When he exited the room, Dark slumped in his chair, sliding down until his back lied against the seat and his chin rested on his chest. He exhaled, his red bangs blowing up from the air then falling right back in his eyes.

"This sucks on so many levels," he grumbled to himself like an angsty teen, wanting nothing more than to take a nap and forget everything that happened this past week.

There was a bubbling sound, his eyes darted back to the cauldron-like bowl, hesitating before deciding to check it out one last time for the day. He pushed off the chair, heading to the corner of the room where it was placed. His mind raced to Anti, swiping his hand through the thick mist and once again, the liquid spun into the image of his demon boyfriend, this time in a different location on the other world.

"What are you doing, love..." he spoke to himself, narrowing his eyes as Anti walked into a classy looking restaurant. He now understood why he looked so nice in that dark blue button-up and black pants, hair styled and combed, glassy blue eyes, and pearly white's drawn up in a smile.

He couldn't hear anything, but he didn't need to. Anti held up two fingers when assumably a waitress asked the usual 'how many' and Dark frowned. Was he meeting someone...on a date?

The thought made his stomach churn uncomfortably and the image of his lover being seated at a table for two grew choppy, the water sloshing in the bowl as it matched with his emotions. He blinked several times, trying to calm himself but he grew more nervous. He stepped away from the bowl, running his fingers through his hair and tugging on the red.

He didn't want to see any more of that, whatever it was. He didn't know if what he was seeing was real or anything about it for that matter, and that thought alone eased his mind a bit. For all he knew, the bowl could've been some sort of torture device that made its victims see shit they didn't want to see--highly unlikely, but it was better than it being the truth.

Anti never hinted at cheating, ever, they were both so in love with each other, the idea almost seemed comical. He wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, he trusted Anti, he didn't give him a reason not to.

Then why did his gut twist up in nerves at the thought?

He didn't know how long he'd been standing there contemplating his entire relationship until Felix was suddenly at his side, telling him about some meeting he had to attend and Dark mumbling a silent 'okay' in response. They left the room, not noticing the bowl still spinning with the vision of Anti getting two orders of professionally-plated and cooked food then quickly glitching back to their home where he set the plates on a table surrounded in candles and roses for the both of them.
