Anti gripped the knife tightly in his hand, his gut twisted as he thought about what to do. He could try to cut the chains but that would inevitably fail, or he could attempt to cut the cuffs off but again, that wouldn't work.
The noises above him grew louder by the second, he was losing time he had to think fast. He didn't want to cut his hands off, he reallyreallyreally didn't want to, but his hope was fading fast and there were no other ways of escaping. At least none that he had noticed.
He looked to his wrist, his poor wrist that he'd have to mutilate. He had two options here, he could either saw it off in a bloody, gruesome manner, or he could trying hacking at it but he wasn't sure how hard he could get his swings with the chain weighing him down. God, either way, this was going to hurt like a bitch.
He shifted in his spot on the ground, getting to his knees and placing his left arm on the wall. He'd do this one first, then his right. Wait, how was he going to chop off his other hand? Fuck!
"I'm so fuckin' stupid," he grumbled. "Why didn't I think of that? Fuckin' hell."
Anti slumped in his spot, tears pricking at his eyes as he slammed his fists into the wall out of frustration. Maybe if he broke all of the bones in his hands he could slide out of the cuffs.
He stared blankly at his wrists, having nothing else to do but wait. The muffled fighting from above abruptly silenced and his blood ran cold, why did it go quiet? Oh god, what happened?
He felt so helpless, he was usually a smart demon but it seemed right now he couldn't get his brain to work and that pissed him off. Apparently, his intelligence ended at computer work because he couldn't figure out basic survival skills.
He banged the side of his head against the bricks, hoping to literally knock some sense into him. And surprisingly it worked.
He opened his eyes and the first thing he saw was his bound arm, but only now was he noticing the small latch where the cuffs were held together. There were screws in the hinges that attached the chains to the wrist cuffs, he could unscrew those with the knife.
He almost jumped for joy, he found his way out at last. Infelix thought he could keep him trapped forever, but he was stupid enough to leave the most crucial part of the binds out in the open.
Anti soon realized he didn't need a knife to get out of the cuffs, if he had noticed the screws earlier, he could've used one of his claws to make his escape. It seemed Infelix wasn't the only stupid one here.
It took him less than a minute to free himself, and the second he did he was crawling as far away from the wall as he could on his forearms and knees. His body was weak, he needed to rest and recover but he couldn't, not when his boyfriend was in danger.
His disfigured ankles had already started the healing process as soon as he was out of the restraints, it was the strangest sensation of high pressure and a pinch of pain as the bones snapped in place. Once he could fully regain his foot movements, he pushed himself off the dirty floor, wincing as the rest of his aching body tried to catch up with him.
He stumbled through the door, grunting at the sudden light change and started running in an unknown direction. There were so many doors, some were opened, some were closed.
Several rooms were inhabited by other demons who looked just as badly beaten as he did, maybe even more. They called out to him, pleading for help but he couldn't do anything about it, not now at least.
