Trouble Bonding
Laverne while growing up, living under the rules laid down to her by her mother's claimed mate was not easy. Kim her mother and Vince her step-father were very volatile at times and she was caught in the middle.
Her birth father Callon had been her mother's true mate, but if believing what her mother has said, her birth father had cheated on her mother, his true mate. She has many doubts that was true from living in the house and hearing statements yelled back and forth between Kim and Vince.
Her mother had once told her that her birth father Callon was a Warrior. One who was sent all over the country to help train packs. But Vince, he had yelled at her mother and it came out that Callon was a next pack's Beta and not a Warrior.
But even with all the cursing and yelling, which often disrupting her sleep, the two parents, Kim and Vince stayed together. Laverne didn't really care which was true, as her birth father has never seen her. That much she did know for certain.

Then the one day when she was celebrating her 15th birthday on her own, totally out of the blue she was picked up at the mall by two pack Warriors and they escorted her to their pack house.
Shocking really because for one she had never been to the pack house before, or introduced to the pack. She was not enrolled and going to the regular pubic school where she learned the pack went. She went to another school off the pack territory that only humans went to. The mall where she had been picked up at was off the pack territory as well.
So she was unprepared for being picked up and walking into the pack house. It was after school, and all the residents were in the pack house. They watched her very closely, every second she was glared at or checked out from the time she walked in the front door to going up the stairs to the office.
She may have not gone to school with them but she knew who they were from seeing them around town. Her scent and essence were totally pulled back on and fully blocked, her strong shield protecting her mind was up as well.
None of them knew who she was as far as she understood. Kim and Vince were pack members through. She just hadn't ever been introduced and was too young according to Vince to be initiated. She had her wolf and had shifted on her 13th birthday, not that her parents knew or cared.
The first pack Warrior knocked on the office door then when it was opened, she was shoved from behind by the second one seeing as she stopped before walking through it.
The pack Warrior growled move it. Laverne slapped his hand away before walking through. She breathed deep once to take in the scents before even looking up to see who was in the room.
The pack Warrior growled again behind her making her stiffen and mutter do you mind, I'm already nervous and you growling at me is making me more so.
He snapped his teeth close to her ear and growled she-wolf, where is your scent? She sighed deeply and said that's interesting, I was in this bed and bath shop and using testers. She lifted her wrists up and asked you like?
He groaned and grabbed her hand and sniffed her wrist asking what is that? She smiled and said Oceanic Breeze, not a spray but a stick. She said I liked it and picked one up for myself.
He grunted and said nice but we don't go in that store as the scents are too overpowering. She asked do you like it? He nodded, so she found it in her shopping bag, tossed it up in the air and said here, you can pay me back.
He snatched it and unrolled the cap and smelled it before smiling. She said if you are going to give it to someone, you have her roll on just a little on one wrist and rub it in using the other. She demonstrated and said I bought a few others too. They aren't overpowering, just nice and subtle.
