Kayelyn knew who her true mate was at 14. She also knew that he was well aware of her but he did not approach her when he turned 16. He was a few years older than her and he was pretending that he had no idea she was his one true mate. She did catch him looking at her a few times and then away quickly.
At 15 her family had to make a decision and overnight Kayelyn was bundled up and the whole family moved away.
The next three years, Kayelyn was in Europe where she went to the Werewolf Academy to finish her high schooling. She was focused on strengthening her wolf who in turn strengthened her.
They were both strong, coming from a very powerful family background. Her family was much in demand as them joining a pack strengthened it. They had many abilities among them all, going back to having purer blood with strong ties directly to the first Werewolves created.
The first werewolves were blessed by the moon goddess herself when creating them, and they were powerful. Each line had abilities that have been weakened throughout the ages.
Each Alpha now is a weaker version, further down the line from the first created. But with the blending of weaker claimed mates and taking in tainted and weaker blood, the weaker the line gets and the weaker their heirs are.
When her parents join packs, the Alphas take in a bit of her parents' blood that boosts the Alphas'. Her parents do not take in the Alpha's blood so their blood remains pure.
Kayelyn's blood is the purest of all blood, a secret that her family learned when she was very young. They never once told another and kept it to themselves.
They learned when she was 4, when she fell and scratched herself. Her mother licked her elbow and taking in Kayelyn's blood, her blood affected both parents as it cleansed theirs, boosting them and even brought back more abilities that they had but were too weak to use before.
She was placed in the Academy at 15 to keep her safe as her family were joining packs across Europe, boosting the different Alphas blood.
Overseas where they stayed there were very few Alphas that mated to weaker females. As for America, too many of the Alphas were actually going against the moon goddess and claiming other mates who were not fated to be theirs, to keep them as strong as can be. They were claiming much weaker females and therefore weakening the Alphas' abilities, which weakened the whole pack's and more so the next heirs to the title.
Her family left America as too many Alphas as well as pack males were biting females. They were taking in the weak females' blood, weakening their wolves' abilities, tainting their own blood.
In the pack they had left, her parents were outraged as pack males had been biting females during sex, who bit the males back, tainting both their blood. The females that took in males' blood during sex, made them tainted. Those tainted sluts were as weak as humans, and the males biting them made the male wolves' weaker too, tainting their blood.

Kayelyn with her wolf abilities could use her mate bond to her true mate. At 18, she looked deep in her head and she and her wolf used the mate bond to slip into the mind of their one true mate.
They were very silent as they read he and his wolf and learned he was a total outright disgrace. A horror as they read that his wolf did not ever stop his human from bitting the numerous tainted sluts he was having sex with. Not only was he taking in the female's weak and tainted blood but also allowing the sluts to bite him back.
As soon as she read from their true mate's mind that he even took them in wolf form and biting them, she and her wolf were totally disgusted as his wolf was not stopping his out of control human. They were both too stupid to know better as they were raised by their father who had made sure his son knew to keep their blood pure as biting females taints them and makes them weaker. He was ignorant and stupid as he was raised better and he didn't believe his father or just didn't care.
