Trouble Bonding
Taury was one of those kids others hated.
It was really all because of her mother. She as a baby was put in front of a camera all dressed up and her mother sent the picture in for a baby contest and won.
Since then Taury from that day forward was made to go in front of a camera and her pictures were taken with her mother behind the scene glaring at her if she didn't do well.
Then when she turned 12, she was all dressed up as her mother put her through hell once again. Her mother was never the one in front of the professional cameras, Taury was taking orders and if not done her job well was screamed at behind closed doors.
It was pure hell for her. Her mother entered her into another blasted event. She blocked her mother out of her thoughts and paid all her attention on the staff telling her what was happening and what to do.
In the end, she did too well as she won. The second runner up glared at her with true hate and jealousy. The cameras all caught that look given to her. Taury was pulled away as her mother screeched and made a big deal about it.
Taury hugged all the other girls and wished them well. The others were headed off to the next beauty pagent event. Her mother made the press and her picture was seen by many.
'Others' recognized her and calls were made. Soon her mother was truly surprized. They were in their suite at the time when the room was suddenly invaded and her mother confronted.
If looks could kill, each of the invaders would be dead. It was same look her mother had been always giving her. In the end her mother shut up and refused to talk to the invaders and yelled at them to leave before she called the police.
Her mother then was basically shot with a tranquilizer. Taury lowered her eyes and covered her smile. She was told to change clothes. So she got up and soon was in her room and was followed. The man said we are taking you to Council.
She said I don't know what Council is. He asked do you know what you are? Taury said I know. He grunted and asked did you know your father has been going out of his mind looking for the two of you?
She turned and asked what? I was told my father died when I was a baby. He grunted and said no, your mother grabbed you and fled.
Taury shook her head and said I honestly had no idea. So she's lied to me all my life.

Later, when they arrived and headed to walk into the large Council building, she was swarmed by more Warriors. She looked back seeing her mother being tossed over a shoulder and carried elsewhere.
She asked where is he taking her? A Warrior grunted and said to the infirmary using another door. We are taking you to eat and then the infirmary Taury.
She smiled and said I could definitely eat, please. He smiled back and said then come on honey. They took her to eat as she was kept from everyone's sight.
After eating until she was stuffed in the private dining room she was taken out another way and through the building down to the infirmary.
A Warrior said be warned Taury. She asked you warning me of what? He said the sights and smells in the infirmary will be unlike anywhere else. Stay by our sides at all times. She nodded and said I hear you.
The door opened and she gulped then followed the one who led. They soon handed her a gown and said full exam time. She said fine by me as she entered the washroom and closed the door.
She was sitting on the exam table when the door opened. She looked up and saw the Warriors as a Doctor entered.
The Doctor grunted seeing her and closed the door. She said my name is Taury. He said I know, I'm going to give you a full exam, but first I'm injecting you to calm you enough to sleep.
