Reilly Celise
Trouble Bonding
Reilly had a very strong wolf, one that raised her since her mother was not as interested in her once she was around four years old. Her mother's interest faded over time. Then it was like one day she was paying attention to her, then the next day her mother woke up different and just left the house as if she had enough, leaving Reilly behind, still innocently sleeping in her bed as if her daughter meant absolutely nothing to her.
Her wolf woke as Reilly was frightened being left home alone. Reilly woke hearing the front door slam and the kettle whistling, had walked downstairs and into the kitchen and had to push a chair up to the counter to turn the burner off. Her mother had put the kettle on and forgot about it. Reilly burned herself and her wolf woke fully as the burn hurt a lot.
She climbed down and got a sweater, then used another chair to unlock the front door. Her wolf was telling her they couldn't stay home alone as they would starve if her mother never came back.
She unlocked the front door and opened it. Her wolf used her senses to find her way to the pack house. She read Reilly's memories and on her way there it soon started raining. By the time she got to the pack house an hour or so went by.
She was noticed right off the bat. She was swept up and taken inside, straight down to the infirmary. She took off her wet sweater with help as the warrior grunted saying she was soaking wet.
He grunted again as he noticed the burn on her arm and asked what happened? The doctor came in and since he knew her, he asked her where her mother was?
Reilly looked from one then the other and said mommy left me home alone. She left the kettle on the stove too. I burned myself turning it off.
The Doctor told the warrior where she lived and he ran off. The doctor asked where did your mom go Reilly? She shrugged and said gone before I woke up, she slammed the front door and it woke me.
When the Warrior came back he was soaking wet too and said Rosanna's car is gone. No sign of where she went either. No bags packed, kettle was still warm, a chair pushed up to the counter and same at the front door which was left wide open.
When they tracked down her dad, it was the next day. Her mother hadn't returned home as the house was being watched. They sent out people to look for her mother. Her dad, a pack Warrior named Jed had no idea where his mate was. He tried calling her cell phone but the line was busy.
The next day Jed called back and said his mate showed up at the pack he was training at. Reilly stayed in the infirmary with the doctor until they returned. Neither parent wanted to talk to her on the phone but her dad did ask how she was, but not her mother.
Reilly by then knew she couldn't trust her mother ever again. She noticed that as soon as her dad left again, her mother would stay only a day or two at the most before she took off again.
She peeked continuous in on her mother while she was home. Not once did she look like she was feeling the pains as if her dad cheated. Her wolf was quite insistent that her dad's scent never changed. Her mother just wasn't interested in her daughter anymore.
Her dad learned that it would be best if he just took his mate with him after the half dozen times she dangerously left Reilly at home alone and so Reilly was placed in the pack house when they left.
Reilly spent a lot of time in the pack library and the infirmary when she got tired. She was in the way anywhere else in the pack house. She was underfoot she was constantly told.
She learned and saw way too much, and way too young to be living there. She learned to keep her mouth shut too as she saw things that people told her to keep quiet about, or else. A few pack sluts threatened her with violence as well, but they were caught.
