- MOANA'S POV -

Ever since we started to load the boat with supplies, Maui had not stop pestering Percy about his demigod heritage and boasting about all the things he has done. I could tell Percy was getting irritated every twitch of his finger and every quirk of his eyebrow.

I tried not to laugh as Maui said, "There's nothing greater than the feeling of being a hero, you know? Ah, it just feels so natural." While Percy licked his lips, his chest heaving silently.

"Ok, ok, ok. Maui why don't you just hush up for just a minute? We need to concentrate if you expect us to do this in two weeks." I told them.

"Thank you!" Percy shouted to the sky, throwing his arms up.

We were now at the cove, where the boats had been pulled out from the eerie cave and out into the open. No one knew where we were going, all we said was we would help Percy get back. Father believed it fairly easily but mother took a big more prodding. Maui also said that he knew exactly where the island with the gem was, and we could only hope that the waters won't fling him to the other side of the earth if he annoys it.

"Whatever." Maui mumbled, looking like a puppy that had just been kicked.

"Oh, cheer up Maui." I told him. "We'll be leaving in five and I don't want a sour face on my boat. Now go get everything ready and make sure nothing is out of place or out of sight. Ok? Ok."

I turned to walk back to the boat with a stride in my step, but not before I heard Percy say something that brought a smirk to my lips. "Is she always this bossy?"

"Afraid so, my man. Afraid so." Maui said, clapping him on the back.

And just as I've said, we were on the boat five minutes later. Surprisingly, before me and Maui could even unhook the ropes or redirect the sails, it was already done. When we asked who did it, Percy was the one that had done it and I swear I had never seen Maui so shocked. He seemed shy and a bit nervous when we asked, asking if he did it wrong when really, he did just fine.

The sun was dipping low already, slowly disappearing under the waves. Percy had taken a spot next to me in the middle of the traditional boat, the patterned sails right above us. Maui was sailing the ship, knowing exactly where we were going.

It was risk to take but if Maui had managed to stay alive through his years when I can't even start to imagine what it's like to have homework and daily classes, from what Percy told me, then so be it. We'll take the freaking plunge.

"So, Percy. How's it like back home?" I asked, watching as mini Maui started to shout at big Maui after he almost fell out of the boat.

I heard a smile in his voice. "Great, I guess."

"Any girlfriends?" I teased.

"Yeah, actually."

I turned to him, my whole body swerving to the side. "Oh. My! Why didn't you say anything?"

He turned red. "You didn't ask? Can we change the subject please?"

Feeling pity on him, I turned back to where Maui was now flat on the ground after slipping from the wet spot below him. "Okay, but only if you'll tell me who your god parent is."

"For the last time, Moana, demigods aren't real. Okay?"

"And for the last time, Percy, they are. Did your brain just choose to ignore how Maui was a bird? I know you know I'm right. I always am." I said, putting my hands on my hips, starting to stand up to help Maui get up.

"You sound like Annabeth." He mumbled under his breath. "Okay, fine. So what if I'm a demigo-"

My ears perked up as I turned to him, swinging on the heels of my feet. My arm extended to point to his face a grin eating my face. "I knew it! I knew it!"

"-I'm not done!" He shouted back, bouncing up from his seat, looming higher than me. "Maui is from another type of God okay? I'm from the Greeks."

I frowned. Another type of God? When I grew up I only knew of one type: the Hawaiian Gods. Hell, I've met one, restored it's heart. But never in my life had my grandmother told me of another type when we were learning about the tapestries that were painted over the decades. But then again, I've never heard of this America.

Percy seemed to notice my frown and sighed. "There are Greeks, Romans and the ones you are used too: Hawaiian. There are many more, but they are the same people just with different counterparts. So when your people lived, they were found when the Gods were in the Hawaiian counterparts."

I nodded slowly, looking back at Maui. "He's the demigod of the wind and sea, a shapeshifter as well."

Percy nodded. "So that would mean he's a demigod of Zeus and Poseidon, and a legacy of Ares."

I slowly nodded, understanding. "Then what are you?"

"Well," he smirked, turning to look at where the sea met the sky. "That would make me Maui's brother."

"Zeus?"

He shook his head. "Try the other one."

"Poseidon?"

"Yes." He nodded at me. "And it's not all that easy, you see. Because when your a demigod, it means battling things like that."

He pointed towards the waves, where a sense of bubbling came from under the thick blue colour. I felt Maui run up to us, his eyes squinting as he leaned forwards to catch a better glimpse. I walked next to him and so did Percy, all towards the edge of the boat.

"What is that?" Maui asked.

We kept quiet, as if waiting for something to happen. The wind became harsh and the seas became unforgiving as it rocked our boat back and forth, causing us to take a step back. We waited for something to happen. And as soon as we saw the bubbling transforming into something more- something bigger that was expanding every second, Percy knew exactly what it was.

"Sail! Sail to the other side! Now!"

Welp. Not that happy with this chapter but eh. Can anyone guess what it is? I knew from the second I wrote this scene what it would be and I knew it just had to be from the Odyssey...
