"Here are some pictures of some friends of ours back in New York." Torrance had been showing me photos all morning.
I appreciated her enthusiasm, but damn. Torrance could talk anyone's head off.
"I have a lot of pictures with this guy. What is his name again?" I pointed to the sandy haired guy.
"That is Cam. You guys aren't really friends anymore." She grabbed the picture from me and placed it with the others.
"What happened between us?" I questioned.
"He just turned out to be a jerk." Torrance muttered. I had a feeling that something more than him being a jerk happened.
I decided to let it go.
"Here are some of your friends from the dance troupe you are in."
"Dance troupe? I'm a dancer?" I was a little shocked.
Torrance smiled, "And a good one at that. I have a video of your last performance. You want to see it?"
I nodded and she went to grab her laptop. When she returned, she showed me the video. I couldn't believe that was me.
I looked like I loved being on that stage.
"Wow." I whispered when it was over.
"You are an amazing dancer." Torrance gave me a small hug that I returned.
"Was Harry at my perfomance?" I asked her.
"Yeah, he went to surprise you." She frowned a little.
"What aren't you telling me?"
She took a deep breath and turned to me, "It really isn't my place to tell you."
"If it could possibly help me with my memory, then you should." I pressed.
"Fine. You and Harry got into an argument on the night of the showcase. He saw Cam kiss you and he freaked out." Torrance told me.
I instantly felt angry. Why didn't Harry tell me? I knew that he had been hiding something.
"What happened after?" I whispered. I wanted to know more.
I could tell that Torrance was a little hesitant to tell me, "He came back to London and we both came so you could try and convince him. You went to his flat to talk to him. I'm guessing things didn't go so well and then you got into your accident."
Harry lied to me.
He told me that I got into the accident on the way to his flat.
I picked up my phone and texted Harry to come over.
We needed to talk.
Harry came over half an hour later. Torrance went to get some Starbucks so we could have some time alone.
The doorbell rang and I hobbled over on my crutches to answer it. I hated that I was stuck with them.
"Hello." He greeted me. He gave me a hug.
"Let's go into the living room."
"How are you feeling?" Harry asked me.
"I've been better." I muttered.
He tilted his head in confusion, "Is something wrong?"
"Why did you lie to me?"
His eyes widened a little but he recovered, "What are you talking about?"
"Torrance told me what happened. How you thought I kissed that guy and got upset at me. I came here to talk some sense into you and something happened. Then I got in my accident." I told him.
Harry looked down at his hands, "I didn't mean to lie."
"What did you mean to do Harry?" I questioned.
"I just-- I didn't want that to be one of the stuff that I told you." He mumbled.
"I'm confused."
"I wanted to remind you of the good things." Harry said.
"That's something important! You just wanted to make yourself the good guy. Torrance told me that you didn't even want to talk to me even though that guy threw himself on me." I yelled.
I couldn't believe that Harry wouldn't have told me those things. They were my last memories.
"I didn't want you to be mad at me, okay?! There I said it!" He yelled back.
I couldn't think of anything to say to him.
My phone interrupted the silence. I expected it to be Torrance, but it was Zayn.
I looked at Harry quickly before I answered it.
"Hello?"
"Hey, (y/n). I wanted to know if you were still up for dinner tonight?" Zayn asked.
"Yeah, I am." I muttered.
"Great, I'll be there around seven."
"Okay, seven is good. See you then." I told him before I hung up.
"Who was that?" Harry asked me.
"It was Zayn." I answered.
I saw his jaw clench, "Are you going somewhere with him?"
"We are going to dinner. He said he was going to tell me about the past. Hopefully, he won't lie to me like you did." I threw it in his face.
He chuckled, "I doubt he will tell you everything."
"Why do you say that?" I asked him. I wasn't as angry as I was a few minutes ago.
I hated how one look from him made me feel like silly putty.
"Zayn has tried multiple times to get between us. He liked you then and I'm sure now that you lost your memory, he wants to try again." Harry warned me.
"I'm still going out to dinner with him." I replied.
"Fine, do what you want." Harry started to leave but then he turned to me, "I love you, (y/n). I wished that you could return those feelings."
He left me sitting there and wondering if things would go back to how they were.
I felt a longing for Harry. I didn't think it was love. I didn't know what it wad to be honest. It could've been an attraction or lust or anything.
I wanted to remember...for him.
