chapter one ▹start ~~~~~
Madison-Sadie scooped the bag of cash off the floor as she strolled by and teleported to the roof of the bank. The thieves who unknowingly did all the work for her, turned around to collect "their money," we're surprised to not see it. The last thing they remember was a black blur, before the were unconscious. When the police finally arrived to the scene, the criminals were bound to each other and tied around a street lamp.
The bag of money was placed just above their heads, fastened to the street lamp. When the officers examined the bag, the only sign of who have stopped the bank robbery was a note.
"You're welcome. If you notice that some money is missing, it's the fee for me taking care of this city and the crime. -s.c."
~~~~~
Madison-Sadie retuned to her small apartment, that she had begged the landlord for. For Queens, the rent was surprisingly cheap. All she had to do was pay her bills on time, and keep child services off of her.
Madison-Sadie was having a splendid time, eating her grilled pressed ham and cheese sandwich. She licked her lips, and prepared herself to savor the second bite. Her eyes tearing up, she leaned in, mouth open, salivating-
The door slammed open. The Avengers filed in. Well, some of the Avengers filed in. Madison-Sadie slammed the sandwich onto her plate and sighed. "For one moment...can you guys please stop barging into my life like that?!"
Scarlet Witch glanced at Cap' with a knowing look, and he nodded at her in confirmation. She flicked her wrist and you could see the red mist swirl around her hand.
Madison-Sadie cocked her head to the side, showing that she felt what the witch was trying to do to her. Her hand raises, and she breaks the connection, that Wanda never made.
Madison-Sadie allowed her self to do one dramatic sob, as she stared at her sandwich that is going to waste. Suddenly, she rises from the table forcefully, and the Avengers reflexively get ready to fight. "My guys, I just want to eat my godlike sandwich. No need to be jumpy like that."
Gesturing to the bigger apartment, she started, "Take a seat. Would you like something to drink?"
The group stared at Madison-Sadie, like she was the three-headed dog that guarded the underworld in Greek Mythology, Cerberus.
Madison-Sadie sighed at the lack of responses,"Oh, c'mon! I don't bite. I'm a fifteen year old girl, who's 5'4", up against six Avengers," the group flinched at the way she emphasized "Avengers", "What are the odds of me winning?"
The group stood still and unmoving in their place, while Madison-Sadie continued after getting no response, "Remember that time, when I managed to tear you guys apart with one can of silly string? That was my greatest
The Falcon stepped forward,"Actually," he interrupted from his new seat on the couch, "Can I have a glass of water?"
Madison-Sadie nodded while continuing his sentence, "I just have water and milk. So you are getting milk, it's good for your bones. Or, your feathers."
The Avengers spread out amongst her open plan living space, shifting around awkwardly.
"We need your help."
Madison-Sadie curiously tilted her head to the side and inquired, "Well, are you going to ask me?"
Captain sighed, and said, "We would like your help going against the other Avengers. We would like you to fight for the side that is right."
Madison-Sadie seemed genuinely confused when she learned that there was some sort of a war, a civil war, between the Avengers. She shrugged, not quite yet voicing her thoughts of her indecisiveness.
The depressing, dark, one metal arm, man spoke up and said, "We want to know if you want to aid us in kicking someone's ass."
Madison-Sadie joined in, "Ты целуешь свою мать с этим ртом?" (you kiss your mother with that mouth?)
The two assassins resumed their poker faces.
Madison-Sadie sighed and answered their question, "I guess I could help you out. It gives me a good chance to brush up on my German. I wonder who would stoop so low, to get a fifteen year old on their side."
Clint spoke up, "We never told you we were going to Germany?"
Madison-Sadie shrugged. "You guys shouldn't think so loud."
