chapter one ▹start ~~~~~
When Madison-Sadie woke up, thefirst thing she took into account was her surroundings. An Asian woman was monitoring her vitals. Both woman had silently acknowledged each other.
Madison-Sadie and the rest of her team are in an aircraft.
Atlas, who looked to be in pain, and proceeded to rub the handcuffs on her wrists. Pietro kept nervously muttering in Russian, about his sister and girlfriend, who were placed in uncomfortable situations. They needed to use their powers. It could become dangerous if they're cooped up. Wanda had no emotion on her face, Madison-Sadie wishes she could have the ability to tap into her mind.
Madison-Sadie glanced over her teammates. Hawkeye looked angry and on edge. He was supposed to be with his family, but now he was stuck in this mess. Wilson was the calmest person in the room, or acted like it. Ant-Man was being ridiculously annoying--tapping his foot on the floor sporadically--and Madison-Sadie could see that Atlas and Wanda were becoming restless as a result.
Wanda tried to send Roach to sleep, but the dampening cuffs hindered her abilities. She keened in pain, crying out a little bit after her attempt. Pietro leaned over to help his sister, but doing so brought her more pain. Atlas tried to bend the cuffs, and Madison-Sadie could only watch the pain take over her expression. Pietro was stuck between the two people he loved, and couldn't help. So, in turn, Madison-Sadie spoke up.
"They need to be let out of those cuffs." She received no response, as they were pretending she hadn't said a word.
"Excuse me. They need to be let out of those cuffs before it injures them permanently."
The 'man in charge' turned around and faced Madison-Sadie.
"And, who are you?" He questioned.
"You already know who I am. As I was saying, they need to be let out o-"
He sighed, and cut Madison-Sadie off, "I heard what you said."
"Then take the handcuffs off them. It's damaging them. Severely."
He turned to the doctor, "Dr. Cho, put the cuffs on her."
Helen froze, and stated, "She isn't properly healed, the handcuffs could-"
"Put. Them. On."
Helen swallowed roughly, and grabbed the cuffs and walked towards Madison-Sadie. Her expression wavered as she examined the state of team.
"I'm not putting the cuffs on her," she stated firmly."
The man spoke with a tone that was quite unnerving. Madison-Sadie was worried for Dr.Cho.
"Helen...put the cuffs on this rebel or, you will not be returning for a job tomorrow."
Helen dropped the cuffs on the ground and proceeded to turn around, and walk away from the scene.
The 'douche in charge', nodded to one of his errand girls, and had him put the cuffs on Madison-Sadie. Madison-Sadie struggled against her bonds, willing herself to phase through them, but white hot, searing pain was sent through her body. She didn't even hear herself scream out.
After learning that struggling wasn't going to get her anywhere- because she may have been nearly rendered unconscious because of the pain- Madison-Sadie went limp, and continued to play dead.
No one responded to her acts of "playing dead." Madison-Sadie proceeded to struggle, and eventually was rendered unconscious and was sent to a dreamless sleep.

author's notes:
i said that all the chapters would be posted by yesterday...but this book needs a lot more TLC.
qotd:
Marvel or DC?
in my opinion, marvel. the only reason why marvel is better at the current time is based on their movie production and story telling, but that is all Disney's work. DC may have superior superheroes (besides Batman), but they can't really make a good quality movie.
