Sirius stared at his reflection in the large mirror before him and heaved a heavy sigh. He'd promised that he'd use no magic with his appearance to honor the non-magical that beget his beloved; this meant that he'd have to actually do things the mundane way and since he'd always magiced his way with knot work, he struggled with his tie and shoe laces. Feeling completely foolish, he rolled his eyes and huffed.
Still, Hermione would know in an instant if he'd used magic or not.Remus knocked on the door and stick his head in. "Everything alright in here?"
Sirius' grey eyes gazed at Remus' reflection.
"Right. The tie," Remus replied to his friend's silent plea for assistance. "Told you," he said in a sing-song voice.
"Shut up," Sirius replied under his breath.
"Why don't you just go with your trademark boots, Sirius? You're going to be on your feet a lot and you'll feel infinitely more comfortable?"
He sighed as he held up his chin for Remus' fingers to work his mundane magic. "Thought about that."
"But?"
"But nothing. The shoes go better is all."
"Ah, but you're Sirius Orion Black the Third! If you can't pull it off, then no one can!"
Sirius half-smiled and nodded. "True."
Remus chuckled as he shook his head. "Such a fount of humility you are..."
A raised brow and playful sneer was Sirius' reply.
Remus smoothed the lapel of Sirius' coat. "All done," he said, eyeing his best friend hard as he masked his nervousness, kicking off the dress shoes and placing his feet into his favorite cowboy boots. "Take a look?"
Sirius breathed in deeply as he gazed at his reflection. "Am I doing the right thing, Moony?"
"A little late to be asking that now, don't you think?"
He curled his lip as he shrugged his shoulders.
"She needs you now. So my response would be a resounding yes, Sirius. You're doing the right thing."
Sirius' brow furrowed as he turned to face his friend. "What aren't you telling me?"
Remus grinned as he backed away and held up his hands. "Not my place, Pads."
Sirius' face contorted into a confused-glare.

"Why do there always have to be a million and three buttons on these things," Tonks asked.
"I think it's a requirement of a proper wedding gown," Ginny said with amusement.
Hermione rolled her eyes.
