Esther's P O V

When I ended the dance to the fourth song, 'Paper Hearts by Tori Kelly', I heard a loud clapping sound in the empty room and I was confused because Dylan had left to the bathroom not so long ago. I froze and opened my eyes. The person I saw just made me even more confused and I quirked an eyebrow up at him while panting, out of breath. That person was someone I have never met before but there was an air of sophistication around her. It then hit me that I was in a dance studio and the lady in front od me had to be some professional dancer. Her blood red pointe shoes matched her equally blood red leotard and black shorts that were over her pink tights. She had a Nike bag across her shoulder and I just stared at her. She had a huge grin on her face, that showed her flawless white teeth. At that moment of just staring at each other, Dylan walked into the studio and gave me a questioning look. I shrugged while running a hand through my hair frustratingly and decided to speak first. "Soooo..... Can I ask why you were watching me dance? I mean I did not expect for someone else to show up here, especially at this time. Sorry, if this is your studio or something."

Dylan leaned against the wall and watched the lady, observingly. "Oh no, no! That is not it, I am sorry so there is no need for you to be sorry. I just left my cardigan here and I came back for it. Sorry, if I startled you but I could not help watching you dance. Your dancing is just filled with so much emotion and passion. It is so hard to find dancers that just can put all they got into a dance especially facial expressions. And the fact that you are on pointe, makes the whole thing even more interesting and creative. Oh excuse me, I am so rude. My name is Olivia, Olivia Knight, and I am the principal of Nashville's School of Arts. I was wondering since I have already seen you dance, if you would like to come to our our school and I will offer you a scholarship for the whole year. How does that sound to you?"

My jaw dropped at her sudden explosion of information and offer. This had to be some kind of episose for you have been Punked. It just had to be. Why on earth would some lady named Olivia offer me a scholarship to a art school for my sucky dancing? I mean I really suck at dance well at least I think so and I have not danced since the middle of 10th grade when I met Callie. Just the reminder of Callie, made my blood boil because when I think about her, I also think about him, Mark. I looked at this Olivia, straight in the eyes and said, "I will think about it bug could you please excuse us, I need to get back to my hote.... house."

Hee eyes widened while I started packing up all my belongings and she stumbled for something inside her bag. She took out a piece of tiny notebook paper and scribbled something on it. She handed it to me and grinned. "Well here is my number...."

"Esther."

"Esther..... I really hope you consider this as the next big step in your life then. I would really be overjoyed if you do secide to come. I am going to let you go now, bye bye!"

I took the paper and just stared at it. Maybe, I will stay, just to get away from all the more drama added onto my plate.

When we got into the taxi, Dylan whispered something in his ear. The driver nodded while Dylan plopped back into his seat next to me and I noticed he was stifling a laugh. I crossed my arms and smiled. "What is so funny, Perry? Did Mrs . Olivia scare you with her positivity? "

With hearing Olivia, Dylan broke into a fit of laughter and I laughed along with him.

"She just sounded so desperate for wanting you to go to that school! Oh Esther, you are the best dancee I have ever seen, why don't you just come to this school so I can show you off!"

I laughed so hard that I was no clutching my sides because it was getting harder to breathe. I pushed him and said, "She did not say that!"

Dylan's smile widened and I felt him staring at me. I raised an eyebrow at him and he just put his hand on top of mine while squeezing it. The action made me smile yet again because he was holding himself back from making a move on me. It made me happy that he was smart not to take advantage of me, at a time like this. I squeezed his hand back and I heard him groan when the taxi stopped in front of the hotel. I took my hand back while opening the door and thanking the driver. Dylan paid him and then walked with me to the door. He sighed. "You ready because if you are not then we can just go somewhere else. Yeah, I am so stupid for bringing you back here, I will just go get another taxi."

He was standing on the side walk trying to get a taxi when I could not hold in my laughter, I doubled over and laughed.

"Really, Dylan?! Come on, lets just get this over with, hopefully they are not there."

Dylan playfully glared at me and we started up the stairs to the hallway that held Carson's and my room. On the last step up, I tripped and I let out a strangled scream, that sounded like a cat dying. I squeezed my eyes shut and waited for the impact but there was none. Instead there was Dylan's chuckle and I opened my eyes, to only see my face 5 inches away from the ground. I let out a sigh of relief and Dylan brought me back to my feet. He nudged me with his shoulder and laughed. "Only, you, Esther. Only you could trip over the last step up and make that kind of noise. What the heck was that noise anyways, you sounded like a cat. "

I laughed. "I have never made that kind of noise anyways, doofus! You know I am the most amazingest person on the planet."

I opened the door to the room, when Dylan grabbed my hand and said, "And the most beautiful girl in the universe. "

I blushed, still not used to being called beautiful, especially from my best friend. Once I sat down on the single queen sized bed, I heard a gasp escape Dylan's mouth.

"Why is there only one bed in here?! That bloody bastard, Carson, better not have tried anything on you!"

I giggled at Dylan's little tantrum. "It is fine, Dyls. Take a chill pill, he did not try anything, okay. Just sit down and relax. There is nothing to worry about, Carson and I did nothing. "

He ran a hand through his hair, which caused the grey beanie to fall on my lap. He sat next to me and I said, "Do not move, okay? I am going to fix and put on your beanie."

"Okay."

He was facing me, so I reached over and started putting the beanie on his head when his breath hit my neck and sent chills down my spine. I quickly adjusted the beanie and said, "There all done."

Before I could sit back down, Dylan grabbed my wrists and looked straight into my eyes. Our faces were now 3 inches apart and my face grew hot. Dylan bit his lip and groaned. "Gosh, Esther! Stop being so dang irresistible, and adorable. It does not help me resist you. I want to kiss those kissable lips of yours everyday but I can't because I would just be a jerk if I did. So just st...."

He was cut off by the door opening and Callie showed her face. Dylan and I scrambled away from each other and my face was literally burning. I looked away from the two until Callie cleared her throat. "So, what is going on here?"

I snapped my head towards her. "Why is it any of your business? Or are you just assuming that I hooked up with Dylan, all of a sudden?"

Dylan was standing now. "It is quite, obvious you two have things to talk about so I am just going to leave this room.I do not want to be part of any of this."

I opened my mouth to protest when the door closed and I was left alone with Callie in my room. Well shouldn't this be interesting.
