Dylan's P O V
After I had pulled Callie outside to talk, I left straight to my house dumbfounded about the whole thing. I know I told Es to not go home but I did not mean for her to get up and run away. Why did she not leave me any message? Am I not her best friend? Wait, what am I thinking? I was the one that stabbed her in the back and started to bully her so I have no right to grow resentment towards her. She has been nothing but forgiving, and willing to understand why I did what I did. I really just wish I knew that somehow, someway she had feelings for me but it never works out for the bestfriend unless you are in some cliche movie or book. I can not blame her for not liking me, anyways there will always be a Mark that just sweeps a girl off their feet right away. Maybe I should just stay single the rest of my life and live with thirty- five cats of all kind. When I rounded the corner to my block, I saw a familiar car that particularly belonged to the people I did not want to see right now. Her parents. They would probably threaten me to do something with their children right in the room watching them. I trudged to the front door and opened it slowly, silently hoping they would not see or hear me come in, but the world was not in favor with me.
" Oh son, you are home finally. How was the graduation ceremony?"
I quirked an eyebrow up at him while closing the door and walking to the opposite side of the Andersons. "Yeah it was fine, why didn't you come with me? I mean ever since no body cared to tell me Esther left and I assumed she went to a friend's house but no, she ran away because her stupid parents did something again."
My dad's eyes widened and he gave me a look that I should not have just said that. Mrs. and Mr. Anderson jumped immediately up to the feet at my words and exclaimed, "WHAT?!"
I leaned against the hallway door, glaring daggers at them and seeing right through their facade. " what do you guys mean what? You guys probably knew she ran away since you probably said something horrible to her or worse lied straight to her face even when I told her the truth of why you cowards left her in the first place. It just astonishes me that you guys have the dignity to even start another family when you abandoned your other child, who wants nothing to do with you. Then you think you can come two and a half years later, acting like everything is fine and thinking she would forgive you!"
I did not even notice that my fists were clenching and unclenching while my voice rose in anger. The Andersons looked shocked at my tone of voice and so did my dad. Silence fell over the house until one of the one year olds started crying. Mrs. Anderson glared at me while picking up her child and going in to the guest room. I smirked because I knew this was the time they would show their true colors when you showed them that you were serious. Mr. Anderson walked over to me until he was 5 inches away from me but it was not that intimidating when I was taller than him, so I looked down at him. "You son, need to learn how to respect your elders and keep your nose out of our business. Now listen closely because I will not repeat myself but if I have to then you are in deep trouble. I want you track down her phone signal and find out where she is. We will file a missing child report to the news sometime during this week. Once you find out where she is, I then want you to go there and convince her to come back so we can sort out it's problem. If anyone and I mean anykne gets in the way then I will personally take care of them."
I scoffed. He even had the odasity to call her a it, what kind of father is this? "And what if I do not do any of those thinvs for you? What could your dwarf like self do to me?"
He pulled me down by the collar so we could be eye level and said, " Oh then I would just casually hurt your father or make it look like a successful suicide attempt. There are many ways Dylan Perry, many ways. Do not underestimate me and absolutely do not say anything likr that ever again unless you do not want to speak anymore. Now if you would excuse me, but I have to go check on my wife now."
