Callie

Eli wasn't beside me when I woke up. But I realized who wasn't even in the building with me when I even fell asleep. How could I have been so stupid?

I jumped and threw the plain white sheets from the bed off of me, sending me into the usual, cold, hotel room. I shivered but brushed it off and ran outside to the hallway on the way to my brother's room.

What I wasn't expecting was my brother.

"Oh frick!" I yelled in pain. My body collided with a person sending me to the ground. Luckily I did a volleyball roll and landed right on my feet again to face who I hit. That person was still on the ground.

"Callie! You have such a hard head!" My brother said in obvious pain. I stifled a giggle and kneeled next to him.

"Oh my gosh Carson I'm so sorry!" He gripped my hand and we got him sitting up. Carson laughed and fixed my hair that was everywhere now. I smiled and so did he. My brother always did that to me when I was younger.

But then I remembered my whole reason for coming to freaking Nashville, Tennessee and why I left my room.

Esther.

"Where's Esther?!" Carson and I yelled to each other at the same time. "I don't know! I thought you would know!" We yelled again sending us both into fits of laughter.

"And that's how siblings roll." He said.

I laughed and then got serious. "But no. Where is she?"

"I don't know. That's why I ran out here to get you Cals! Didn't she text you or something?"

"Well yeah she texted-" Then I gasped and covered my mouth. My phone. Where was it? I spun and ran into my room with Carson right behind me checking my pockets of everything for my phone. Nothing. It was no where to be found in the room. Falling on the bed in defeat, I groaned and began to tear up. Carson rubbed my back and tried to silence me.

"I'm sure she's fine Cal. Dont worry. We'll figure it okay. Shhh." He then brought me into his arms and hugged me. It felt good to be protected and loved by him and I wasn't ever going to lose him again if I could do anything about it. "I love you Callie." He said from no where.

I smiled and said it back.

"And of course your hugging him. Anyway. If your wondering where Esther is, I have a lead." Mark of all people said as he ended a brother, sister moment. He is rude and I hope-

Carson just punched Mark in the jaw, sending him on the bed, leaving me speechless and proud at the same time.

"What the heck Carson?" Mark asked while holding his jaw in pain.

"You don't treat me or my sister like that just because your heart may be broken. Shut your face and tell us about Esther."

"Why would I want to do that now?" He complained.

"Because..." It hurt me to say it. It really did. "Because if you tell us, maybe you two can be something again. I don't know! Just please. Mark, I'm begging you." I pleaded. He rolled his eyes and stood up.

"I need ice first."

**************************

We were all in my car as we drove full speed, well as fast as the speed limit allowed me without a ticket, back to our home state of Wyoming. Esther and Dylan had traveled back overnight by plane for some reason known only by Tristan. He just said she might be in trouble and that Esther may need help. I was actually glad he called Mark and let him know.... that's when I realized what had happened and I pushed down the pedal even harder.
