A Summer Like No Other Ch 2

Hey readers!

So I recently realized ( with the help of a new friend) that it doesn't matter if any of u readers like my story( although that would be a plus) if I enjoy writing I'm gonna keep with it. So then I also realized the first chapter might have been a little short. So hopefully in this next chapter, you can start to connect to the characters and story. I am going to try to update regularly but I can't make any promises. So enough of me talking and back to the story!

Chapter 2

" What?" I exclaimed!

He was staring at me? I started freeking out. I hadn't met the guy yet, but just thinking about it made me start to sweat.

" Calm down Nicole" Kelsey said. " Its just a guy"

For some reason hearing Kelsey refer to him as just another guy seemed to calm me down,.... Until I turned around and saw HIM. He was GORGOUS! Of corse he was in his lifeguard swim trunks which showed off his already bronze and perfect abs. As I stared at him I realized he had great biceps and awesome hair. A light brown with natural blonde streaks. He wore it a little bit long and it seemed as if every piece fell into place pefectly. He had deep blue eyes and he looked like he just walked out of a magazine when he ran his fingers through his hair. Just as I thought I was about to melt, I heard a shaping sound. It was Kelsey trying to get my attention.

" You better snap out of that dream Nicole because he is walking over here!" she said.

This got my attention. He was coming over to Kelsey and I which ment I'd have to be able to talk. Then I could see him standing in front of me.

"Hey" he said it in such a casual and friendly way. " My names Spencer. I just moved here last week and my mom talked me into getting a job here. I just talked to the manager Alex up at the clubhouse. He said that you and I would be partners this summer."

No matter how many times I had just gone over what I was going to say in my head, I couldn't get the words to come out of my mouth. Luckily Kelsey was still standing next to me and decided it was a god time to save my butt.

" Hi" she said. " My names Kelsey and this is my friend Nicole. We've lived around here our whole lives so if you have any questions feel free to ask."

I don't know how she did it but she saved me! She is like the best friend ever. Now I had to make a good first impression.

" If you don't have any plans you can join Kels and I for lunch at the Seacrest this afternoon" I said.

" Id like that" Spencer replied. " Thanks."

Then Kelsey said

" See you guys later. Our shifts are about to start and I've got to make it all the way to seventh chair! C ya!" she exclaimed.

With that Spencer and I started walking toward third chair for our shift.

" So..." he said "Whats it like living by the beach all the time? It still seems like a vacation to me. I moved from Arizon and the weather is deffinetly different there."

I was shocked that he'd moved from so far away. But I guess the Arizona sun would explain his perfect tan.

" Well... I guess I'm kinda use to it, but it's really fun to go boating. It's also nice to come really early in the morning and watch the sun rise, or if you stay late in the evening to watch the sun set it's just beautiful." I couldn't believe I was rambling on. I should have stopped with the boating thing because most of the guys from school like to do that, but the sunset was just stupid of me.

" That's sounds like fun" he said. " Even though my mom, sister and I just moved here last week, my dad has been here for a couple of months because of his job. He already bought a boat so if you'd like, maybe sometime you and I could take itout after work and then watch the sunset."

OH MY GOSH! Did he just ask me out? I barely know him but he seems really nice and he's hot; but I haven't gone out with anyone since Johnny.
