Chapter 3

When I looked up from my hands I realized that Spencer was staring at me and waiting for an answer. I deffinetly liked this boy, but was I ready to go on a date again after what happened with Johnny?

FLASHBACK:

Last Year at Sophmore Prom:

Still Nicoles POV:

"Come on Nicole we've danced to a few songs, lets ditch this place and go somewhere else" Johnny said.

This is my first prom did I really want to leave already? But I love Johnny so I guess we can do what he wants.

"Okay" I said. "Where do you want to go?"

"Ummm how about I surprise you!" he said.

I am an adverturous person so this excited me. I happen to LOVE surprises.

"Alright lets get out of here." I said.

(Johnny drives himself and Nicole to the beach)

"Here we are" Johnny said.

As I looked around I asked "the beach?"

"Yup" he said,"we are going to have a little picnic. I packed it earlier before we left for prom. Its in the trunk. Let me get it."

This surprised me. I had been going out with Johnny for seven months now and I knew he wasn't a romantic. This ment a lot to me. So Johnny and I walked down onto the beach and found a good spot in the sand. Johnnny had planned this perfectly. It was still dusk outside so we didn't light the candles he brought yet.:) Johnny laid out the large blanket for us to sit on. He had made sandwiches, fruit salad, and apple pie for dessert. It was simple but at the same time so sweet.

"This is perfect" I exclaimed.

"Its not much, but we never do anything like this so i thought it would be fun." Johnny replied.

Once we ate our sandwhiches, and some of the apple pie, we laid down on the blanket in silence just enjoying eachothers company.

"So was this just because it was prom nigiht and you hate dancing, or was there more to it?" I asked.

"Well, I knew I'd have to tell you this at some point, so I wanted to make t a little bit easier on you---"

"Tell me what?" I asked maybe a little to sternly.

"Relax Nicole its just that my family is moving in two weeks to Maine. Its Not too far away so we can visit eachother on the weekends and---"

Once again I cut him off "TWO WEEKS!" I exclaimed. "YOU ARE MOVING IN TWO WEEKS ALL THE WAY TO MAINE AND DIDN'T TELL ME UNTI L NOW!"

"Calm down Nicole!"He said. "I just found out like three days ago and we CAN make this work."

I didn't realize I was crying until I felts Johnnys hand whiping away a tear from my cheek.
