Finding Marlin Script
Opening Scene
(Open up to ocean view, Some fish swim by peacefully, then Marlin swims very fast by them in a panicked voice.)
Marlin: Nemo? Nemo! Where are you? (Searches in a few places) Nemo!
Nemo: (comes out of seaweed) boo!
Marlin: (flinches)
Nemo: (starts laughing) got you!
Marlin: (takes a couple of deep breathes) Nemo..don't scare me like that again
Nemo: oh dad lighten up! That's what hide and seek is!
Marlin: (chuckles a little) you're right...you're right..I guess I'm still just worried about losing you again..
Nemo: oh dad, those divers aren't coming back
Marlin: hey it doesn't have to be divers, it could be anything!
Nemo: don't worry...even if something did happen...I know you'd find me...
Marlin: well I'd like to think nothing will happen, now come on you're gonna be late to school!
Nemo: aw dad, just one more game! Please!
Marlin: I don't think so, you're gonna miss Mr ray, you have a perfect attendance record and you're not going to mess that up today
Nemo: is that even a thing?
Marlin: I don't know, I've heard of it so it must be important
Nemo: alright I'll race you there! Go! (Starts swimming off)
Marlin: Nemo wait! Ugh what is it with you and games? (Swims after him)
(Nemo starts swimming and laughing as he swims by Dory and her parents habitat)
Dory: whoa Fabio where's the fire?
Nemo: Nemo! And I'm racing my dad!
Dory: oh that sounds fun! I wanna beat him too!
Nemo: come on!
(Dory starts swimming as fast as Nemo)
Marlin: (sees dory joining the race) oh now dorys in it!? Oh it's on! (Starts swimming faster)
Nemo: quickly dory! He's catching up on us!
Dory: huh, why are we swimming so fast again? (Starts to slow down and Marlin swims right past her)
Marlin: see ya dory!
Dory: oh hey Marlin! Wait whys he swimming so fast? I better make sure he's ok (swims after him)
(Eventually they make it to the school grounds and Nemo is the winner)
Nemo: yes! I win! Oh yeah! Beat that old man!
Marlin: old man? (Laughs) I'm not that old, you'll swim just like me when you're my age
Nemo: well I'll make it my mission to not swim like you!
Marlin: now don't get ahead of yourself...at least you're here on time
Nemo: as always, will you let me late just once?
Marlin: hey that's never a good thing you know
Dory: Marlin! Marlin! Are you ok? You were swimming so fast!
Marlin: yes dory..we were racing remember?
Dory: we were? Well there's my memory again
Nemo: (laughs) what would we do without you dory?
Dory: well gee I'd hope you'd find me if I was lost
Marlin: it did happen..
Dory: it did?
Jenny: (swim up) yes dory a month ago you found us
Dory: oh yeah! And now I have a family! I mean you and Nemo were always my family but
Marlin: I get it..and it's great..
Destiny: hey dory! Are you coming with the class today?
Dory: no I might forget
Bailey: destiny I thought I was helping teach with mr Ray today?
Destiny: well you might want to check your days because it's mine
Hank: no, you're forgetting it's mine
(They start to argue and Dory not remembering starts arguing too)
Dory: what'd we arguing about?
Nemo: oh brother...guys! It's no ones day today, Mr ray said you guys could take a break remember?
(The 3 of them remember and feel silly about arguing and they go swim off along with dory and Jenny)
Marlin: I wonder where Mr ray is
Nemo: probably running late..even he runs late
Marlin: I think I hear him now
(Mr ray is singing about the sea with all the fish swimming along with him)
(Nemo then goes along)
Marlin: bye Nemo! Have a great day!
Nemo: bye dad!
(Marlin watches Mr Ray swim away and he heads back home, he sees fish with their family, he even spots dory with her friends and parents, he feels a little sad swimming alone...he was a little distracted that he swam a little farther than intended and found himself at the ocean view...his old sea anemone..the one he had picked out years ago..where his wife had died...along with his other children. He hesitated before going inside the anemone...he could remember..he could remember everything..)
Marlin: oh coral...if only you were still here...
(The scene zooms out toward the ocean and the Title "Finding Marlin" appears)
Yes this is very short but again it's only the opening scene. Tell me what you think and if I should continue? Otherwise enjoy!
