Edan woke in his bed back in Arendelle, the events of what had happened began flooding back to him. He sat up in bed and leaned up against his pillow. "No." He said out loud. "No. No. No. No. No."

There was a knock on the door. Edan didn't respond to the knock, he was silent. There was another knock on the door, Edan still didn't say anything.

The door was opened. Elsa walked in, she saw Edan and rushed to his bedside. "Edan." She said.

"Are you alright?" She asked.

"Yeah." Edan said rubbing his temples. "I think so."

"What happened?" Elsa asked.

Edan didn't say anything, he only looked down at his hands.

"Edan." Elsa repeated. "What happened."

"I killed him." He muttered. "I killed Gieser."

Elsa was silent. "He deserved it." She said coldly.

"But not what I did to him." He said. "I burned him, to nothing but ashes." He then looked up. "And I enjoyed doing what I did."

Elsa was silent, she stared at Edan, not knowing what to say. Silence washed over the room, until Elsa finally asked. "Are you okay?"

"No." Edan said. "Ryan's dead, and it's all my fault."

"Levi said that you stayed behind to cover their escape, Ryan went back to help you. What could you have done?" Elsa said, but she knew she had said the wrong thing a little to late.

"I could have saved him!" Edan yelled. "I could have come up with a better plan. Every life that was lost was because of me!"

Elsa winced at his words, but didn't move.

"Go." Edan said to her. Elsa remained where she was. "GO!"

Elsa still didn't move.

"I said GO!"

Elsa moved this time, but she wasn't headed for the door. Instead she waked over to the dresser and picked up a small letter.

She read outloud. "The Council finds it fit that King Edan should no longer have the rank of Captain. He is ignorant, reckless, and careless."

These words stung Edan to the core.

Elsa continued. "His emotions also seem to affect his decisions on missions, as does his relationship with the Queen. We request that he be removed from his position immediately."

Elsa looked up from the note. "I agree with them." She said.

Edan was shocked at this. "What!"

"Your emotions do interfere with your decisions." She paused. "Which is why your still Captain."

Edan raised an eyebrow.

"The Council doesn't care how many men we loose, as long as the mission is a success, but you..." She paused. "You care about others, you never leave anyone behind, and you make sure others get out before yourself. That is what a true leader is like."

Edan sat still, he didn't move, or say anything. Silence was broken by Edan's words. "Tell that to Ryan's family."

Elsa placed the note on the dresser, and looked to Edan. "I really am sorry." She said, and she soon left the room, leaving Edan on his own.

Elsa had found a room for the family to stay until they found a permanent home in the town. Edan was as some of the doctor called him "mentally unstable". They said that Elsa should probably keep her distance for now, but Elsa didn't listen. She would go in at night, just so she could be with him, even if he was asleep. Anna introduced Rose to Lidia's kids, so she had someone to play with. The three kids instantly accepted her and had a lot of fun playing with her.
