16. Jeju!

"Do as i say, Chae." Mina smiled patting her shoulder and standing up. She motioned Chaeyoung to go talk to Jackson. Chaeyoung hesitated, but did as her best friend said.

"PLEASE! You... know that I like him..." Chaeyoung begged Jackson to say yes.

"Fine," He finally nodded. "but you owe me. I can't believe I'm actually going to do this."

At this point Chaeyoung couldn't be happier, even though she felt really really bad for her friend.

"I'll treat you... ice cream soon!" Chaeyoung sang and skipped around him.

"Momoring~" Jackson called out from his seat.

"Yes?" She immediately searched for the owner of the voice.

"Do you wanna go out with me this afternoon?" He shouted over the room.

Some people gasped, while some just thought it was just typical Jackson.

Woah. No one ever does that. So straightforward.

"Um...Sure! Why not?" Momo smiled and focused on whatever that was on her phone again.

Another month passed without anything happening, but Momo fell in "like" with Jackson and isn't bitchy anymore. No one knew how Jackson changed her, but he did.

Chaeyoung still didn't really talk to Yugyeom, but they're making some progress with BamBam and Mina's help.

"Good afternoon, class." Miss Nayeon came in and announced something unexpected.

"So, the school had decided that we will go on a field trip, to Jeju island~ It's next week for 5 days and 4 nights."

Everyone gasped. Wow, the school really is treating us well.

The week quickly passed, Mina and Chaeyoung pulled their heavy suitcases to the bus stop.

"I'm so excited~" Mina squealed on our way to the airport.

"SAMEEE," Chaeyoung agreed. "Can't believe we're sharing a room even though Momo's also with us."

"She's not that bad anymore," Mina confessed. "I actually kinda like her now."

"Yep, I hope she stays like this. or else I'll go crazy like last time," she chuckled.

The plane will depart in a few minutes and Chaeyoung settled in her seat. Looking out the window, she felt someone sit down beside her.

"Hey," He greeted her nervously. "we didn't have a proper conversation in such a long time."

"Yeah," Chaeyoung muttered while looking out the window. "I don't mind."

He kept silent, trying to make out what she just said. She doesn't mind? All this time I had been so worried that we'll break our friendship and she doesn't mind? The plane departed, and Chaeyoung drifted into dreamland.

Yugyeom stared at her facial features, her beautiful long eyelashes, her big eyes, light-pink cheeks, and her red lips. She was perfect, perfect in his eyes. Without hesitating, he gently put her head on his shoulder and fell asleep as well.

She woke up when Yugyeom shook her gently, telling her that the plane will be landing soon. She immediately sat straight up when she realized that her head was resting on Yugyeom's shoulder the whole time. Well, at least she didn't drool, cos that would be gross.

Looking out the window, she saw the beach and sea in the distance. It's been such a long time since she went to one and she can't be more excited. A smile formed on her lips as she thought of the activities coming up soon.

Chaeyoung tried grabbing her suitcase from above but was afraid that it's gonna fall right on her head. She looked around for help.

"Let me help," he grabbed her luggage without waiting for her response.

"Thank you..."

"Anytime," he flashed a smile at her.

Her heart fluttered.
