Avery's POV
Hello. My name is Avery Brighter, I am sixteen years of age and I'm the daughter of an Alpha. My older brother, Daniel is next in line to be alpha, he's already begun his training, and father's even let him lead a few battles, he promised to make me his second in command when he finally claims the Alpha title within the next few weeks, although I think our younger brother, Finn will be better suited to being the Second, once he's old enough anyway.
The White Crescent Moon Pack is the pack in which my family and I belong to. There are twelve other major packs across the country, typically divided into three sides – each to their own beliefs and line of power. The Royal Pack is supposed to be in charge of all, they uphold our laws, keep us at peace, and they ensure that our existence is kept hidden from the humans. They aren't doing the greatest job at the moment... The Dark Shadow Pack is most powerful pack under the Royals, and they've been causing havoc around the country, demolishing many smaller, under developed packs, they've been getting away with it because these smaller packs aren't registered as a major pack like mine or the Royals or the other main Packs. I worry though that the menacing pack may make a move on one of the main packs soon, my father isn't too concerned though. He says we're still ranked the 4thmost powerful pack out of the major thirteen.

I stared blankly at the crème coloured ceiling. Small lines of sunlight slyly crept through the closed blinds, and the animals outside made certain to ensure that all sleeping people aware that the sun was up and so were they. The smell of bacon and eggs waffled through the air, and I felt the internal struggle of choosing between staying in my warm, cozy bed or getting up, dressed and food.
With a long sigh of defeat, I dragged myself out of the queen sized bed and headed straight for the bathroom that joint onto my bedroom. I shared this bathroom with Daniel, because his room was on the other side and also shared a door with the bathroom. I now stood in front of my sink and mirror, I looked ahead to see a pair of ocean blue eyes staring back at me. My baggy pyjama shirt had a large imprint of the Eiffel tower on it, it hung low, way past my shorts, and it hid my hourglass figure. My chocolate brown hair was in a messy pony tail and reached the middle of my back. I didn't consider myself to be tall, but I wasn't short either.
I hastily reefed a comb through my hair, many strands fell onto the tiled floor. I glanced at the tooth brush jar, but ignored the idea of brushing my teeth before eating. I then dug through the bottom draw under the sink countertop, and I pulled out mascara, foundation and an eye shadow pallet and applied a light amount of each. Once I was happy with my appearance, I skipped out of the bathroom and proceeded to get dressed into a pair of denim ripped jeans and a plain shirt.
My bedroom was decorated with a Paris Theme, ranging from the bed sheets to the curtains to the ornaments hung around. The furniture was all crème coloured, and the walls were contradicting a vibrant purple. I chose the colour when I was thirteen, I'm not bothered by the choice, I love the colour, but most people find it too bold for their liking.
I left my bedroom, slipping on a pair of socks as I walked. I passed Daniel's room, then Finn's bedroom, and then I reached the large stairwell. My hand trailed along the smooth wooden surface of the rail as I jogged down the carpeted steps. At the base of the stairs was the front of the house. I walked through the first doorway and into the kitchen. My mother and father were already seated at the table.
Finn also sat at the table in his special chair. There was nothing different about his chair that compared to the others, it was simply just his chair. Daniel was no where in sight. "Morning." I chirped as I walked over to the kitchen bench top where the cook stood beside the cooking bacon and scrambled eggs. I grabbed the tongs and began to move a couple pieces of the sizzling bacon onto my plate.
