Avery

I grinned as I pulled out Jayden iPhone and press the on button. Skipping down the stairs a d into the kitchen, I take a seat at the is,and bench beside Katy. The phone screen lights up and the back ground of a sea shines through. I swipe my finger across the screen and a pass code screen shows up. It's a pattern password. Katy looks as disappointed as I was.

"Don't look at me. I don't know any of hid passwords" she mumbled. Just as the said that Jayden walked in running a hand through his messy bed hair. He walked straight over to the fridge and swung the silver door open.

"Speak of the devil" I mutter. I see Jayden raise his eye brow questioningly.
"What are you two on about?" He asked cautiously.
"What's your phone password?" I ask simply. Jayden spins around to face me and snatches his mobile out of my hand.

"Nooo, no, no, no a thousand times no!" He laughed. I pouted
"But you said I could call my brother Finn today" I look down at the table.
"And you can" he handed me back the iphone which was now unlocked, and on logs with the number pad up. "You just can't know my password" he stick his tongue out at me.

I rolled my eyes and dialled my old home phone number. It rang a few times before someone picked up. It wasn't a recognisable voice.
"Hello?" A gruff male voice rang.
"H-hello? Who's this?" I ask my voice quavered a little. Katy looked at me confused and alert.

"Who's this? Lady have you got the wrong number or something?" No I knew I had the right number.
"No this is The White Moon Crescent pack house is it not?" I speak up. The guy was silent.
"Who's this?" He finally asked. Realisation hit. No it couldn't be m! But where-

"Mark?" I ask my voice softening. If our beta was back did that mean Daniel was alive? Was he back too?

"A-Avery?" He whispered shocked yet relieved.
"Yes Mark it's me" I say a tear runs down my cheek. Why am I crying at the sound of his voice? I never got along with him.

"Avery, where are you? Are you safe?"
"Mark calm down. I uh.. I'm at The Dark Shadow pack, I'm safe here don't worry. Where's Daniel? Is he with you? May I speak to him please?" I rush out.

"Avery.. Daniels not here. The last time I heard from him was two days ago, a couple days after the battle. We were out in hiding together but we were separated when we were attacked by rogues, I'm not sure what happened to him but I found myself wondering and here I am." He stated the obvious. Wait what!?

"So your telling me he's still alive? Or is he dead or Mark! What's really going on!?" I was so worried now.

"Avery calm down, it's ok. I'm sure he's alright. I'm not sure where he is but I'm positive he's alive." I nod taking it all in. Snapping out of my thoughts I quickly ask
"May I speak to Finn?" There was silence for a moment.

"Yeah sure. Here he is. Avery.. Be careful ok?" Mark asks quietly I nod.
"I will. Good bye Mark" then there is a muffled sound and my younger brother received the phone. "Finn?" I call

"Yes Avery, I'm here" he sounds different. Calmer, sadder, older.
"Finn are you alright? You sound.. Different"
"I'm fine Avery. I've changed through out the past week. I've uh.. Been through a lot but I'm all good. I'm stronger now" his voice was stern, almost emotionless.

"Look um.. I really want to see you and there is something big you should know about.. W-what I'm trying to say is, would you and mum come down here? Jayden and I have things to explain" I trailed off.
