Avery

After the massive fire had been put out, we had all slept in one of the guest houses. Would you believe how many guest houses there are here!? There's like six of them!

Anyways, the next morning, my parents left but my old pack refused to go with them. They called my parents liars and traitors and refused to trust them anymore. So my parents fled and made a run to god knows where and I'm so thrilled that they have left.

That rogue that cut the rope on me, was never caught, however some of the wolves from from my old pack could have sworn they had smelt several scents that belonged to some type of rogue, but multiple rogues, there wasn't just two or three, more like ten of them at least.

The week had passed slowly, we had done lots of training. I flop down on the bed beside Katy, completely exhausted. I let out a groan and roll over onto my left side to face her.

She had this gigantic grin all over her face and a knowing look. Her eyes danced with excitement. I looked at her questionably. She just shrugged but continued to smile happily. I sat up now frustrated and I looked her in the eyes, demanding to know what she was so cheerful about.

"Alright missy. Spill" I say pointing my index finger at her. She laughed and nodded.

"Alright alright!" She says throwing her hands up and sitting up in the process. Her smile vanished when she continued and it was replaced with a look of complete seriousness. "But Avery, you must know I only found out this morning and I have not told ANYONE. Not even Ty and I'd really appreciate it if you too kept this a secret ok?" She asks with pleading eyes. I nod with a friendly smile.

"Of course Katy. You can trust me" I say reassuringly and I place my hand on her shoulder. Katy takes a shaky breath and looks down at her hands.

"Ok... I don't want to fight in the battle anymore. I just can't." she admits quietly and looks up at me waiting for my reaction. My eyes almost pop out of my head. I thought she wanted to do this! Why has she changed her mind? What's happened?

"What? Why not!?" I almost yell, still shocked and extremely confused.

"BecauseImPregnant" she rushes out.

"Ok. I. Did. Not. Here. A. Word. You. Just. Said" I say slowly and calmly. "Please repeat?" She takes a shaky breath.

"I can't fight in the battle because- because I am pregnant" she squeals. I scream with joy and immediately pull her in for a hug.

"Oh my god!!! Katy congratulations!!" I could not contain my excitement for her. This is amazing! Wow, Katy is going to be a mother! This is just incredible. "Katy, you'll make an amazing mum" I say with aw. She smiles.

"Thanks Avery" she says. I smile but pause.
"So I did hear the bed squeaking the other night!" I point out with a grin. She gasps and smacks my arm.

"Avery!" She giggles. I laugh with her but rub my arm.
"Ouch" I pout. She sticks her tongue out at me so I stick mine out at her.

The rest of the night, Katy and I stayed up in Jay's and my room, having a movie marathon and pigging out of popcorn and chocolate. With great difficulty I had finally managed to convince Jayden to sleep else where while Katy and I had our girls night. And let me to you, he wasn't very happy about not getting to sleep in the same bed as me, but he'll get over it... Eventually.

"Th-this movie- is so- sad!" Katy cried, sniffing between each word. She grabs her fifth tissue and wipes her tears away again. We were currently in the middle of watching titanic, up to the part where the boat is sinking.
