Some say love is like wind, once it is blown away, it is gone.

Ash

"Daddy, don't leave me," I said, stretching my hands out to reach his.

Everything around me was white in colour. Below us were something fluffy. Meanwhile, images of my father was floating further and further away from me.

"Son, you have to understand, it wasn't your fault, don't blame yourself!" he replied to comfort me.

"No DADDY, if I had stayed at home and not went out with Serena, you would not have been in that accident!" I rebutted as tear started to form.

"Ash, listen, you still have a long way in life, please forget about me." he begged.

"NO, DADDY NO!" I screamed as he took several steps backwards, moving further and further away from me.

I decided to give chase after him, walking on clouds. I ran faster and faster. As I was able to pounce for daddy, he suddenly disappeared, as if he was invisible. I stood and looked around me. He was nowhere to be seen.

When I looked downwards, I realised that there was nothing below me.

AAAAHHH

I leapt up from my bed, sweating desperately, so much such that my pillow was already wet. My pyjamas, as well as the bed was also wet.

I surveyed my room. It was all darkness. Thankfully, it was just a dream but I could never forget that day after Serena fainted.

"Bee boo bee boo!" the ambulance siren sounded as the vehicle was rushing towards the nearest restructured hospital.

I was pestering one of the two paramedics to save Serena no matter what. I was hoping that Serena would be fine and the bite wasn't lethal.

That same paramedic asked me what happened before she was bitten and her particulars which I thought were redundant. All I could see was a fainted Serena and that the other of the two paramedics was trying his best to help Serena.

Upon arrival at the hospital, the paramedics pushed the cot stretcher off from the ambulance and dashed into the Accident & Emergency department. All I could do was to follow behind. The paramedics quickly told the doctor about the emergency case while a nurse was attending to Serena. I was reassured about Serena's condition and was told to take a seat behind and wait me.

Serena, please be ok.

At the same time, the hospital was hectic too. It seemed like there was another emergency where doctors and nurses were all rushing to attend. I heard one of them was saying something.

Within all the confusion, a doctor who was in front of me was asking the nurse the name of the patient.

The nurse replied a bit too loudly, "Red Ketchum."

Red Ketchum, Red Ketchum? This cannot be him!

I quickly approached the doctor and asked him, "Did you say, Red Ketchum? That's my daddy! Where is my daddy?"

The doctor tried to continue walking towards his destination, however, I just kneeled down to stop his impending movement.

The doctor managed to shrug off my grip and asked the nurse to attend to me as he entered the surgical room.

I shook my head in denial, grabbed the nurse's hands and asked, "Is that really Red Ketchum?"

The more I questioned, the more I thought about my parents being dead, the more I cried.
