We were finally on the way back to California. I am so excited to see Boomer. Alexis had been keeping him for the past three weeks we were gone. Oh my gosh, he's probably like ten times bigger.
"My suitcase won't zip." I groaned as I attempted to sit on it to close it.
"Well, you just had to take twelve trips shopping," Garrett replied.
"I am in the city of dreams. I can dream of a nice closet. And now it has come true." I smile.
I am pretty sure we had done every single tourist thing in this town from helicopter rides around the city to the Gossip Girl tour where you got to see where everything was filmed. It's amazing how incredible this year has been, first France, now New York, what's next?
I leaned my head against Garrett's shoulder and groaned, "My head is pounding like crazy. Do you have any aspirin?"
"No, I'm sorry babe. We will be home in a few hours Just rest your head on my shoulder and sleep for the rest of the way." He cocked his head to the side and left a gentle kiss on the top of my head. We were currently passing over Nebraska, only less than two hours left and I'll be home in my bed.
But that means it's back to school. Hurray. Only ninety more days of senior year.
I soon fell into a deep sleep, not even waking up from the loud screaming baby a few rows behind us, or the drink cart that loudly bumped into our row.
I was suddenly jerked awake. What's happening?
"Baby we are home." He gently brushed a lock of my hair behind my ear.
"Dang it, I was sleeping so well."
"I know, you started drooling on my arm." Garrett laughed and I turned a shade of red.
"Oh my gosh, that's so embarrassing I'm so sorry." I giggled.
"It's fine, you just have to do my laundry now," He gave me a toothy grin and held his hand out for me to stand up on the plane.
I practically ran off the plane, I was so excited to get home. Except for the fact we have to wait twenty minutes for all of our luggage to arrive on the conveyor belts.
"Hey." Garrett comes from behind me and wraps his muscular arm around my neck, hanging it loosely. "Matt's gonna go grab the Jeep and meet us at the doors, so grab his suitcase if you see it."
I nodded, the faster I get out of here, the faster this headache will go away.
I waited by the baggage claim, which felt like hours before the luggage started rolling in one by one. I saw mine coming around the corner and before I could stand up, Garrett was already grabbing it. "Thank you," I kissed his cheek as he brought my purple suitcase next to me.
He smiled at me then turned back around to gather the other two suitcases that were coming around and pulling them off the conveyor belt.
I silently dance to myself, now that we can go home. I strutted out of the door, sliding my Ray bans on to cover my eyes. I walked out of the doors to meet the familiar warm air of California. I groaned I was in pants and a long-sleeved t-shirt and it was seventy-five degrees out. When we left New York a couple of hours ago it was snowing.
I stood on my tippy toes searching for my brother's Jeep. "Just look for the stupid jacked up red-neck looking car Jessica" I mumbled.
"Found him!" Garrett screamed and started running down the sidewalk to the car with Matt's suitcase in one hand and his in the other.
"Wait for me!" I yelled starting the pick up the pace to catch up to my boyfriend who had just deserted me.
"And me!" Savannah screamed, even further back than I was.
