Indies POV
When I came back around I am laying down on my turquoise bedspread. Alesa is crouching over me, holding a cool cloth to my forehead. The bab-my sister is in a bouncy chair in the door way. "How is she my sister?" I ask after 2 minutes. "They got her out just in time. Your mom held on for just enough time for them to save her and name her."
"Why didn't I get her right away?" the tbought of them withholding my sister from me is frustrating. "They wanted to wait until it all calmed down a bit. They wanted you to be emotionally stable first." "So, then what's her name?" I ask, picking her up.
"Liberty" came the reply.
"Liberty" I whisper to the baby cradled in my arms. "You have our mom's eyes" A single tear rolls down my face.
