•Chapter 3• New Friends and Family

River's POV

Nicky and Chapman lead me to the canteen. With both of them on either side of me. " So Swan what's your story" Nicky says giving me a smirk. "It's longs so grab some popcorn, and I'll tell you later" I say as we enter the canteen.

Me, Chapman and Nicky walk to I guess what is their table. "Everyone meet River Swan, she's one of us now" Chapman says as everyone looks up at me " I'm Alex nice to meet ya welcome to prison" A girl with glasses and long raven black hair who is quite tall compared to my 5,6 tall stature. " I'm Big Boo" and woman says with short black hair with tattoos.
"She want to fuck you ya know" Nicky says. And I stand cold in my tracks.  Lorna walks in
"Hey Swan" she says as she give me a pat on my back.
"I'm hungry" Chapman says
"Nice to meet ya hungry, I'm Alex Vause" Alex says as we all laugh as we walk over to the food line.

there's small talk between me and Nicky at the food line but I'm starving so I don't reply much.

We all got our food and I am the last to sit. The only open spot is between Nicky and Alex and across from Lorna which isn't bad at all.
We all begin eating as a older woman comes by with bright dark red hair with something in her hands.
"Nicky who is this?" The woman says with her heavy Russian accent.
"Ah ma this is River Swan." She says looking at me "Swan this Red my mom, prison Mom" she says
"River how do you like my food darling"
I remembered what Nicky told me
"It's quite good! I really enjoy it" I say.

"Glad you are enjoying it" Red says as she starts sliding yogurts across the table. First Alex, then Chapman, Lorna,  and also to Nicky "thank you mommy" Nicky says as I giggle under my breath. She slide one over to me " welcome to the family River" she says as she walks away.

We all finish eating and me, Chapman and Nicky walk back to our bunk. With it almost being lights out in a couple hours. We start having a small conversation.

COUNT

"Jesus Christ" Nicky says as me and her jump of our bunks at the same time. I stand at the end of me a Chapman's bunk.  As a weird, creepy CO comes bye and winks at me.
"That's pornstashe he really fucking weird" Nicky says as she climbs back into her bunk. "Hey wanna go to the lounge room and play cards?" Chapman says as she stands up.
"Sure why not, wanna come Nichols?" I say as I get out of my bed.
" why not" Nicky says as we all leave the bunk.
