•Chapter Eight• Off To Work We Go

River's POV

"Miss Swan please take a seat"

I take a seat in a chair in front of Mr. Healy waiting for punishment though I haven't done anything wrong wait have I??

"Miss Swan we need to get you in your new uniform as well as pick a job that goes into your account" Mr mHealy says as he pulls out a packet so I can choose what job I would like

Electrical
Library
Laundry
Van driving

"All of these are quite nice Miss Swan so please choose what you would like"

It takes me a minute but I then choose electrical due to my curiosity for things and I love to fix things and Nicky and Piper have those jobs so I guess it's a win win for me.

"Electrical will be nice Mr Healy" I say

"Very well then Miss Swan you may start tomorrow" He says as he leads me out of his office

"Thank you so much Mr Healy" I say as I walk out the door and down the hallway.

"Breakfast is now starting"

I walk into the cafeteria and see that the family is at the last part of the line so I rush over and stand behind Chapman
"Well look who it is, did he call you in there for a job?" She asks as she grabs a tray
"Yup I chose electrical it seemed interesting" I said as I also grabbed a tray
"Well I'll see you at work tomorrow then" Chapman says as eggs and toast are plopped onto her plate.
I receive my food and I also grab a milk and head to my usual spot.

We chit and chatter in that 45 minute period with a constant laughing whenever Nicky or Boo made a joke that was somewhat funny between all of us.
The announcements came on to tell us all that breakfast was over and the since it was a Sunday there was no work today. I see Nicky look at me mouthing the words 'our cube after dismissal' I then nod towards her direction.

After everyone is dismissed I head down the long curvy hallways of Litchfield. I reach the dorm door and walk down to see everyone either chatting away to one another or reading a book a few even taking naps. When I see a little ginger pop out and give me her signature smirk. I walk i to our cube

"Hey baby" she said as she pulls me close. I can feel her heart beating as she is waiting to do something.

She looks over my shoulder and slams her lips on mine. Our lips perfectly in sinc. She puts her small hands in my waist.
I can feel her smile into the kiss like she had just accomplished something.

"Hey lovebirds" I hear coming behind me and it's Red we pull apart
"You girls better stop now there about to do count" she says as takes a look around our bunk "please clean up you two it looks like a tornado just hit this place." She says as she leaves.

We begin to clean up as we are picking up towel and putting our boots in our respected corners we hear whistles blown and heavy male voices blow up the whole dorms sound

"COUNT"

We begin to go in our positions as we hear the sound of a counter pass through our ears.

"Thank you ladies"

I begin to sit down and open a book when I hear

"River swan please report to visitation, River Swan please report to visitation"

I get up and put down my book
"Hey do you want me to show you where it is?" Nicky asks as she gets up

"That would be lovely and after that please take a shower you smell" I say as I kiss her cheek.

We leave the dorm and walk down the hallways of Litchfield we reach the visitation room and I look through and see who is here for me.

"OH MY GOD ITS EMMA" I say

"Well go see your sister babe" Nicky says as she kisses my cheek.  She then leaves

I walk through and see my blond headed sister

"Hey Riv" she says as she hugs me.
"Hey Em" I say as we sit down

"I have some news" she says

Hey y'all sorry it's been a hot minute since I've last updated but I hope you guys have enjoyed this story so far I've been quite busy wth rehearsals and testing and such but I will definitely update soon💛💛
