•Chapter Ten• God How I Love Her

Nicky POV

I honestly cannot see her like this. She's a mess, her gorgeous brunette hair is knotted, the peach color from her face is gone and is replaced with a white pale color that is accompanied by dark circles under her gorgeous green eyes; we've been sitting beside the doors leading up to the chapel for hours now. All I can hear is a steady pace of breathes and sniffing here and there. People have passed by, Red tried to bring her some fluids and a small piece of cake, Lorna tried to comfort her and even Boo tried one of her tricks. I've also had people bring me food since there is no way in hell I'll be leaving her like this.

It is now almost lights out and I somehow got Vause to carry her to our cube. She rolls on her side and I can her her mumbling. "Please cuddle me Nick" I take off my boots and sit myself on her bed. But I hear nothing from her she's fallen asleep with hours of crying has finally put her to sleep. I cover her in a blanket and head to my bed I am reading one of the best books of all time, when I see bright red hair in my view. "I'm very proud of what you have done today Nicky" I hear my mother say

"Thanks ma" I say as I look towards her
" now my dear, turn off your light and sleep you've had a long day" she says as she walks towards me
"Alright red I will" I say as I place my book on my night stand
"Goodnight Nicky" Red says as she places a kiss on my forehead.
"Goodnight Red" I say as I turn on my side and fall asleep

"Rise and shine inmates" the sound of mens voices bounce off the walls like ping ball balls. I turn over to see River gone. I spring up wondering where she went.

"She's in the showers Nichols" I hear a voice say as I turn around and see Vause. "I think she will be fine she just needs some time" Vause adds.

"I hope so,  Vause" I say as I grab my shower stuff and head to the showers. I see River enter one of the showers and I get into the one next to her.  And at this point in time I've never heard her do this. She begins to sing. I honestly do not know what in the hell she is singing but it is absolutely amazing. I finish my shower before her and I'm standing infront of the counter brushing my teeth and as well as cleaning out my ears. When I see that River walks up behind me and kisses my cheek.
"That was amazing vocals babe" I say and I turn around to face her. She looks at me for a moment before kissing me I place my hands on the counter and she lifts me up to it. I pull away once I feel people watching. "This is not the time or place right now let's carry this on after dinner tonight, okay?" I whisper in her ear. I then get off of the counter and go and get changed.

At breakfast

It is now breakfast and me and River walk hand in hand to breakfast. We reach the food line to be served and then go to our usual spots at our usual table.

No one asked questions about yesterday our day continued as normal. With the yelling of the guards and the nice warm feeling of Red's food. 
I know there will be more days like this by I need to man up. It was after dinner where I saw the true River Swan, the gorgeous way her waist felt in my grasp, the way she let her guard down....for me.

"Nicky, I love you so much" she says as her chest is on mine with her fingers twisting my ginger rat's nest of hair.

"And I love you too River" I say as I kiss the top of there smooth long hair.

God, as long as I'm alive. I will never stop loving this woman

Hey guys, Sorry it's been so long since an update, the summer was so good but filled with so much. With traveling being in a musical (the Addams family, ya girl was Wednesday) and starting highschool. There will be updates soon :)
