•Chapter Eleven• You Can Only Go So High

River's POV
Sure I've been in some rough patches. But I couldn't not be more thankful. Life has never been so high. I say that as I'm in the chapel with Nicky on cloud nine. She has never made me feel worthless she makes me feel like I'm a new piece of expensive jewelry, even though the most expensive thing you can get in here is a shitty dollar store makeup pallet for ten bucks. And even when it does come to sex and intimacy she always seems to exceed my expectation (sorry if that's tmi)

"Hey babe, dinner is going to happen soon and they are probably gonna start lookin' for us" Nicky says as she scoots away from my hips and starts putting back on her shirt.
"You're right" I say as it is getting late. "We better get cleaned up" I add.
She gets up and grabs my hand to help me up. She gets me up with a little bit more power that what she expects and I go flying into her chest. I giggle as we loose balance and we hit the floor.

"Hey! It's not that funny" Nicky exclaims "we could've gotten hurt" she also says
"But at least we are here" I say as I peck her lips and get off my her, helping her up this time.

We head to the canteen to get our dinner and we sit in our spots when Lorna comes and sits down with her dinner

"Remind me to never go in the chapel on a Thursday or at least give me some fuckin' notice before i head in to hear Swan's screams please and THANK YOU" she says in a huff and Nicky thinks its the most funniest thing ever. As for I on the other hand bury my head into her shoulder trying to escape this unholy situation.

"What happened?" Chapman says as she and Alex sit down.

"Okay this is the story, I walk in to do my prayer you know as I always do on a Thursday and Nichols and Swan over here ARE NOT PRAISING THE LORD!" Morello says

everyone at our table now is for sure laughing their asses off and Red comes around and gives out some yogurt to us and of course I'm not complaining it's Vanilla yogurt man this shit it the best!

"Nicky, River come see me in the back once you're done" Red says as she heads back towards the kitchen to start cleaning up. everyone at our table just stares at us and we are so confused. We all continue to eat and Nicky and I start to head back towards the kitchen and Gloria gives us a look of satisfaction but also a look of kindness to assure us that she isn't going to stop us from going back because if those looks had not been given we would have been dead.

We find Red in her "office" as she is charting how many items she had used for the day and also putting in orders to make more meals

"Hello girls" Red says as she looks up from her notebook as she invites us in

"Hey Ma" Nicky says. "so you wanted to see us" she adds.

"yes, so from the girls they have said your relationship has moved rather quickly and I swear if you two do some stupid shit I will have you both pay for the damage" she says as she looks at Nicky deeply.

"Jesus, Red what a way to lay it on us" I say as i look at her and then Nicky.

"Just don't fuck it up girls I love you both" she says as she reaches out her arms for a hug.

"now go do whatever until lights out" she says as she dismisses us

we head back to our cube and I read as Nicky does god knows what and we are thirty minutes from lights when we hear our favorite sound of the day

"COUNT" an officer shouts

we stand in our usual positions again the outside wall leading into our cube of course the officers can't fucking count so they have to do it two more times but we eventually go back and lay down.

we again start the remainder of our night in complete silence before Nicky breaks it.

"Hey, I love you ya know that" she says as she puts her book down and she looks at me

" yes of course I know that" I say

"then get over here and act like you love me" she says in a huff

I walk the very short distance between our beds and I lay down next to her she kisses my neck which got a little too heated a little to quick I pull her head out of the crook of my neck and bring her lips to mine we didn't get very far as a guard had to be the biggest cock block and ruin our fun.

I return to my bed as the lights sorta go out and I start to fall asleep
