Chapter 13: Defiance
~~~~~
The doorbell rang on the Tatsunagi residence, and Kourin heard this. She glanced at the door and looked back at Takuto who was drinking his tea.
"Um, Takuto, I'll take care of the guest." She said.
"Sure," was Takuto's reply as he nodded.
Kourin stood from her seat and she went to open the door, when she did, she found a very familiar man smiling at him wearing a suit and holding a bouquet of roses.
"Y-you..." Kourin was shocked to see him in front of her. How did he know and how did he managed to find her?!
"It's been a while, isn't it? Kourin Tatsunagi."
"Jun Mutsuki..." Kourin puts her hand into fist and backed away from him.
"Is this how you greet your fiancé, Kourin? It's rather rude for a lady like you." Jun told her as he kept smiling, he then gave her the bouquet.
"What are these for?" Kourin asked as she looked at the bouquet.
"They're for you, Kourin." Jun said.
"I'm not taking that!"
Jun scoffed, "Don't you like flowers? I even picked this from the famous flower shop here, what was it called?" Jun wondered, "Oh right, Sendou Flower Shop."
Kourin's eyes widened, she was too shocked for what's happening to her. And Jun must've met Aichi! What can she do now?
"Why are you here, Jun?! And how did you know where I am?!" She exclaimed.
"I have my resources, you won't know why though." Jun smirked, "Anyways can I come in? You won't let a guest feel down, don't you?"
"You..." Kourin was having enough, she gritted her teeth and was about to slap him as she raised her hand yet Takuto suddenly appeared and held Kourin's hand, he shook his head as a sign to not do what Kourin was about to do.
"Mutsuki, come in. And Kourin, calm down." Takuto told and both nodded, they went to the living room to talk.
-
"Tell me why you came here, Jun Mutsuki?" Takuto asked seriously.
Jun gave a smile and looked at Kourin, "I only wanted to see her because of her family. You see here, I don't also agree to the arrange marriage, I don't care if you're wealthy and rich. I only want my freedom." Jun explained.
"So you're here because?" Kourin raised an eyebrow as she asked.
"Your family wants you back in Tokyo, and they're trying to find you. Your sisters kept quiet since they didn't want the others to find out where you are." Jun replied, "I'm here to tell you to do something, and that is to stop the engagement before something happens."
Kourin then scoffed, she gave a confident smirk. "That's it? It's okay, I've always been on rebellion. I'd rebel to anything, even my own family. So this is easy."
"It sounds easy but it is not, Kourin." Takuto told her, "You know how powerful our and Mutsuki's families, right? They'll find you and bring you back to Tokyo, even if you like it or not."
Kourin then frowned, she looked down and sighed, disappointed. "Even if I like it or not, huh..."
"And you, Jun. You're teaming up with Kourin to be free?" Takuto asked again.
Jun nodded, "I am. I'll find a way to end this engagement thing and convince both families to stop." He said and looked at Kourin, "Also I'm sorry for acting like a bastard earlier, I wanted to spice things up a little bit."
"It was not good though," Kourin sneered.
Jun only laughed.
Takuto then spoke, "Anyways, I agree with your plans. Just make it successful, and if you need help, I think I can lend a hand."
"Thank you, Takuto." Jun said and gave a bow. "And you too, Kourin. I hope this plan will end our engagement."
Kourin nodded, "Sure."
Kourin then thought about the plan, and she wants to do something now. She wanted rebellion, and this might be the right time she can do that.
-
"And there goes the last one!" Aichi stated as he puts the basket of flowers to the garden, he wiped the sweat off his forehead.
Aichi looked around and took a breath, the sunset was beautiful and he grinned. He went back to the flower shop, just as then he saw a girl with blonde hair, he suddenly blushed and he got awkward.
Kourin went to him, Aichi blinked as he looked at her. "Aichi, can we talk for a moment?"
"S-sure, what is it?"
"Can we start acting like we're lovers?"
This request made the blunette blush more, but then he remembered what they both agreed on with. And that is to act like they're lovers if they have to.
"D-do we have to, now?" He asked.
Kourin gave a nod, "Apparently, my fiancé already came here and... you met him, right?"
"I did, and... I didn't realize it was him until he told his name and about you." Aichi replied.
Kourin saw how worried Aichi became and she touched his shoulder, "Don't worry, Jun is a nice person. He's even helping me in this case, both of us are trying to make ourselves free from the engagement."
"I-I see... so we're doing this because..." Aichi wondered.
"We're going to convince my family to stop all of these nonsense." Kourin told him.
Aichi then understood and he suddenly chuckled, causing Kourin to be a little confused.
"What?"
"I still can't believe that a lady like you would defy your own family, we're not in war anymore. It's the 1960, Kourin-san." Aichi told her and Kourin pouted as she blushed.
"J-just shut your mouth. We have to act like one starting tomorrow okay?" Kourin said.
Aichi nodded, "Of course, Kourin-san!"
