A/N: Oh my god, I'm so sorry I couldn't update this story for weeks. I have writer's block for this story so I don't know how and where to start! I'm really sorry!

Chapter 24: Cry

"So you're telling me, you are Kourin's lover? How? She never met anyone from your province, Sendou!" Suiko said to Aichi, disbelieving the statement the florist had told her.

Aichi nodded, keeping his composure. "I am, we might not met each other before but the letters we sent to each other are a proof that we are in a relationship."

"Then, let us see some of your letters!" Rekka commanded.

Kourin gave a nervous look to Aichi, they didn't plan for that part. And their plan would entirely ruin if Aichi isn't able to show them.

Aichi looked back at Kourin, he smiled as he took something from the inside of his suit. He then pulled ten letters from his suit jacket and showed Suiko and Rekka.

"Some of the letters are from the previous year and just recently before she came to my place," Aichi told them with a confident smile.

Suiko and Rekka both took the letters and read each and every single one of them. They both got shocked, they believed the letters and they looked at Aichi and Kourin.

"Oh... so that's why you are really against your marriage with Jun Mutsuki..." Suiko said.

Jun then smiled, "Well, I am shocked too that Kourin is already in a relationship with Sendou. But I don't mind since I'm against this too, so I'm siding with them."

"We want our engagement to be cancelled and let us be free from all these stuff!" Kourin spoke.

And all of a sudden, someone was clapping their hands.

They all glanced around and saw a person smiling at them. It was the head of the Tatsunagi family, Nome Tatsunagi.

"N-Nome..." Kourin backed a little and glared.

"Kourin, so you came back. And you're with Jun." Nome spoke with a smile, he saw Aichi. "And who is this?"

"I-I'm Aichi Sendou," Aichi replied and bowed as a greeting.

Nome then smirked, he approached Aichi and then looked back at Kourin. "Is he your friend?"

"No, he's my lover." As Kourin replied this, Nome gave a surprised look.

"Seriously?" Nome said and then sighed. "Explain yourselves."

"Aichi won't be here for two days," Emi said to her mother.

"Oh, what could it be?" Shizuka wondered.

Emi sighed, "He didn't tell you?"

"Nope," Shizuka replied and arranged the flowers on the shop. "He said he'd take care of some things, but I don't know why it would take two days."

"Isn't it obvious? That guy is doing something different." The father appeared from the inside of the house, he was wearing a mad expression.

This made Emi a bit scared, she might see Aichi getting beaten up by their father again.

"N-no! Aichi isn't doing things like that! Actually, Aichi went to Tokyo because he's courting a woman his age!" Emi exclaimed, causing her father to look at her.

"Aichi's courting someone?" Mr. Sendou asked, curiosity and confusion were present.

"Y-yes..."

Mr. Sendou then sighed and puts his hand on his head, "That Aichi... since when?"

"Since this summer," Emi replied.

Mr. Sendou and Shizuka both looked and each other and only smiled.

"I see..." Nome listened to the explanation that Kourin and Jun said. He smiled and took a sip on his tea.

"Do you really think that if you bring your lover here, you can convince both families to stop the marriage." Nome continued.

"Yes, and what's with you moving the wedding in a month?! That's not okay!" Kourin complained.

"It's the Mutsukis' decision, not ours." Nome said.

"What?!" Jun yelled, "But they said it was yours!"

Nome kept a smile and then sighed, "Well, even if you like it or not... the wedding can't be stopped. And it doesn't matter if Kourin and Aichi Sendou are lovers, they have to cut their ties. There's no other way."

Kourin couldn't take it anymore, she clutched her hands on the cloth of her skirt and she sobbed. "Why isn't there any other way?! I only want to be free!" She yelled and stood from her seat, her tears flowing down and she walked upstairs.

"K-Kourin-san!" Aichi was about to follow her but Suiko stopped him.

"Leave her be," Suiko said and Aichi nodded, he sat back down.

"I guess we'll talk about this later," Nome told them and he stood up. "Aichi Sendou, you can stay here for a while."

"Y-yes sir..."

It was evening, and dinner was about to start. Aichi was given directions to Kourin's room by Suiko.

Aichi found Kourin's room and he knocked on her room.

"Kourin-san, dinner is ready." Aichi said, "Let's go eat together."

He didn't hear some response, so he knocked again. "Kourin-san?"

Then, the door knob turned. The door opened and Kourin appeared, she was looking down and there are still tears on her eyes.

Aichi had never seen her like this before, he never thought she'd be so fragile. And he gulped, he wanted to do something.

"I'm sorry, Aichi. I will-" Kourin was cut off as Aichi went inside her room and held her. He embraced her as the door closed behind them.

"I'm sorry Kourin-san, I swear I'll do my best to stop your wedding." Aichi whispered.

"Aichi..." Kourin at first, was shocked, but she embraced him back. "What if we really can't stop it?"

"I'll stop it during your wedding day, and we'd run away together. We can live somewhere and we'll grow as many flowers as we can on our own garden."

"...Is it possible?"

"It will be possible, because I'll do anything for you."

Kourin then sobbed again, "Aichi, you're so stupid. You know such things only happens in novels, if you do that they'll kill you. And I don't want that."

Aichi chuckled and strokes her hair, "I know... But I'll do what I can, I want to be with you anyways."

Kourin nodded and she pulled from the embrace, "I'll support you."

Aichi smiled back, "Come on, let's go downstairs. The food is waiting." He said and wiped Kourin's tears away, "Please don't cry now."

Kourin gave a nod before they both went to join the dinner.
