21 of May of 1940. Beach City, Delmarva, United States of America
It was a sunny day in Beach City. The people there were living their normal lives as usual, but affected by the war: some of them thought that the United States should enter military against the Axis, others, in the other hand, wanted their country to stay away from the war. Very few people shared the opinion of the Nazis of the Jews: exterminate them.
The news of the war was published constantly in the newspaper, the radio and in the movie theater. That day the rooms of the movie theater were empty, except from one woman with pink hair. She was alone in the room seeing the news of the war. She was in the deepest sadness, silently crying.
-"Why the humans are in wars?" the woman thought while the tears were falling from her face –"Is that in their nature? Want to kill each other for any excuse? By violent? Hate each other? Why they choose the war over the peace? Why they don't to talk to solve their differences?"
Then, the woman remembered all the fights, all the wars that fought in her immortal life, all the life forms, all the planets that she killed and conquered, in the name of the Gem Empire, governed by the Diamond Society. She was made to kill after all. The violence was in her nature. The only war that she was proud to fight was her last one: "The Rebellion", which she started in her believes that everyone can live their lives the way that they want, peacefully. She learned from the humans and from the Great Mew. Sadly, the Diamond Society, or at least great part of them, saw these ideas as a menace that had to be destroyed at all cost. But not other Gems. Sadly, this woman lost great part of her friends, human and Gems, in the war. Only her closest friends survived, while others turned into monsters with no sign of her former life as Gems. Also, thinking in the destiny of her "sisters", hundreds of other Roses Quartzes make her cry every time.
-"I hate the war, what terrible thing. I hope this war ends. But, even if it ends today, the human will continue to fight. But they can change. They always do. I hope they change for good, for the peace"- the woman thought with sadness, calming herself to listen the rest of the news.
She wiped her tears with her long pink hair. But when she was completely calmed to see the rest of the news, a voiced called her.
-Rose, Rose! Garnet had sensed another Gem! -a girl said running to her.
-Oh, thanks Pearl, and where is it? -Rose said standing up, seeing Pearl to the eyes.
-Rose, you were crying? –Pearl said worried.
-Is nothing- Rose said.
-Tell me Rose. I know you when you are sad- Pearl said tacking the hands of Rose.
