*Justin's POV*

Immediately after Bella and Bryce exited the principal's office, I became nervous.

Scooter is going to be so pissed at me.

"Now Justin, I know that you're famous and all, but this is unacceptable behavior." The principal began to speak.

"You are not allowed to fight students, no matter what they say to you. I do not want another report like this again, do you understand?"

"Yes." I responded.

"Good. Consider this your first warning - and your last. I will let you off the hook without suspension this time, but next time you cause trouble like this, you'll be suspended for a week."

I only bobbed my head up and down, not sure what else to say.

Suspension?

If I got suspended, Scooter would be livid.

And if the media found out...

Well, let's not even go there.

"Please leave my office, I have other work to get to." The principal instructed, and I gladly obliged.

That Bryce kid better watch his back from now on, because I'm going to get revenge.

And oh, will it be sweet.
-
I tiptoed into the hotel room, staying as quiet as possible.

If Scooter is home right now, I don't want him to hear me.

I'm not ready for another lecture from him.

"Ahem!" Someone cleared their throat loudly behind me.

Slowly, I turned around.

Scooter.

"Uh, hi." I murmured nervously.

"Why did you beat someone up at school today Justin?" He asked.

"I, well...it's a long story." I said, hoping he would let that excuse slide.

Unfortunately, he didn't.

"A long story that I would love to hear." He continued.

"Okay, here's what happened." I gave in.

"This annoying kid got in my way, and had the nerve to sass me, so I had to teach him a lesson."

"Teach him a lesson?" Scooter shouted.

"Justin, you're seventeen, you know better than beating people up!"

"Hey, if he wasn't being an asshole, then I wouldn't have had to fight him." I shrugged.

"How much longer?" He questioned.

I shot him a look of inquiry.

"How much longer are you going to be reckless? When will you finally grow up?"

"C'mon Scooter, give me a break. I'm sorry, okay? It's over now anyway, and I won't do it again." I muttered.

"Really?" He asked.

"So if someone on the streets pisses you off, you'll fight them? I'm sure that a simple apology will get you out of that."

He gave me a lasting stare and shook his head.

"I'm really disappointed in you Justin."

And when he left, I just stood there.

He's completely right.

How much longer will it take for me to become mature?

*Bella's POV*

I quickly scrawled one last sentence in my notebook before closing it.

Finally done with homework.

Now I have time to think to myself.

The only thing that I could ever focus on these days is Justin's treatment towards me.

I really wanted to tell someone about it, but his threat prevented me from it.

I hate him for that.

Sure, I could just tell someone anyway, but I don't want to end up injured or killed because of a stupid decision like that.

There's only one thing to do in a situation like this.

Transfer.

If Justin's harassment gets any worse, I can ask my parents to transfer to a different school.

I'm sure that they'll understand.

And if they don't, I can always make up a story to tell them, right?

I let out a loud sigh.

Why am I so afraid of Justin?

Is it his fame?

His looks?

His never-ending confidence?

No, it was none of that.

It must be the sense of power he has over me.

He always knows how to irritate me, how to get me to do exactly what he wants.

It's a bit scary for him to know how to do those things to me.

But why?

I still need to understand why he bullies me.

He never picks on anyone else.

Sure he may act rude and stuck up to everyone, but he never bothers them...

So what do I have that he wants?

That's the end of Part 9 :)
